Silhouette Portrait

My craft robo gave up the ghost after many years and i have just replaced it with a Silhouette Portrait, but im not having a lot of luck getting it to do what i want. Biggest problem is print and cut. I like to leave a little white edge round so i use the offset and delete the original trace line Problem is the original still shows and cuts out as well the offset line, please can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong? Thank you x

Not sure why it's not deleting but you could give the offset and original lines different colours in the line stle window then in the send panel select cut by line and uncheck the line colour you don't want to cut
