    sketch pens

Bit confused! Some sites are telling me I can only use black bodied sketch pens with Cameo 4. Does
anyone know if this is correct. Bit miffed if it is as I have just set up my new Cameo 4 and have about 30
of the white bodied pens. Didn't see any mention of pens not being compatible

    TIA

    Susan

You can use the blue adapter to use the old white sketch pens Susan. Haven't tried myself yet but I believe that is what it is for. I’m away on holiday so can’t give it a go.

Susan as Shirley has posted the blue adapter is for the white sketch pens. I tried and my white silhouette pen holder fits in it, although not tested it works yet. My Foil Quill fits it but does not work but it did work putting it straight into the No.1 tool holder.

I found this online at the Silhouette School.

The black adapter is for the black ratchet blade
The blue adapter is for sketch pens
The gray adapter is used for the Silhouette Deep Cut blade
The white adapter is for the 2mm CAMEO 3 Kraft blade

Each adapter has a 1 on the front as a reminder it can only be used in CAMEO 4's Carriage 1 - the left side.

Thank you, I do have the pen adapters they came with machine, it’s just that I read on 3 different sites that you had to use the new black bodied pens! I didn’t want to ruin machine if it was wrong! I will try tomorrow

Thank you all for taking the time to help me x

Just a quick update. The pens worked perfectly in the adapter, so don't be fooled by the websites that tell you that you have to use new pens!!

Not tried the foil quill with my C4 but have you tried using the D adapter?

Iiandra I sent you a PM. Settings I used with the D adapter was speed 1, pressure 2. When using my Cameo 3 it was always speed 2, pressure 2.
