Elaine, sorry to hear about your row with your sister. I've had endless rows with my brother - we are so different and he doesn't seem to accept it. We've always made up after a period of not talking to each other. I really hope you can reconcile with each other.

I am leaving the ball in her court now. I can’t handle her jealousy. The trouble is I was always the favourite child and she’s not forgiven me for it..and there is nothing I can do to remedy it. She won’t get over it now..she’s 63! My brother and I were estranged for the same reason, before his death, and it seems history is repeating itself even though I never asked to be favourite.

Oh that is so sad Elaine. I wrote a big reply and then felt it was better to send it privately so I've deleted this post. I'll send an e-mail instead.

Hope I don't ruin it with my e-mail Elaine, you know I am only thinking of you with your best interests at heart. Have a lovely meal tonight. My Valentine's present was cleaning. Hubby had cleaned the bathroom and hall stairs and landing, better than flowers any day in my book. Oh dear, sounds like all the romance has gone but I always say to him that it is deeds not words that count.

Knitting is sorted and it looks great. I can't give up, I'm like a woman possessed and have to get to the bottom of things. Only problem is, for each size you knit it will need different instructions. They need to reprint this pattern.

How are we all doing weather wise today? We've had sun and rain so I'm not sure what we've sent your way this time Elaine. Has your son decided if he can salvage anything from the log cabin? Don't forget the food photo's from your meal.

Sheila, how are you feeling now?

Ellie, I have a photo I want to send you, it is of my neighbour's leg and what could be an ulcer forming and I need your nursing advice. Didn't want to post on here when everyone is about to eat. Get your nurses hat on please.

    Evening all

Susie I’ve sent you an email.

Jeff and Ken must think alike. He’s also cleaned me the bathroom and hoovered
the stairs , landing and hall . With arthritis in my wrists I’m finding it
increasingly difficult to lift heavy things, and my big hoover is heavy.

Elaine, forget about the argument and enjoy your meal out.

You know what they say Ellie - actions speak louder than words. Nothing says "I Love You" more than a husband who will clean for you.

You lot are sooo romantic, LOL. Paul always did most of the housework and all of the washing when he was fit & well, at the end of our first date he took my washing home and did it on the Saturday while I was at work because my washing machine had packed up. I'm not feeling too bad thanks Susie, but last night my left hand was quite painful and it didn't matter how I laid I couldn't get it comfortable (that's the hand they bruised badly) It's still a bit tender, but not as bad. I'm out all day tomorrow at a beading workshop to make a bracelet.

Now I've heard it all, Paul took your washing home at the end of the first date - that was true love in the making. Don't overdo it with your beading tomorrow Sheila or you'll make your hand feel bad again. These things do take a while to heal, especially when you've been used as a pin cushion. Mind you, some exercise should help. Not sure if I mentioned this but the lady in John Lewis said if you develop swellings on your hands, whatever you do, don't stop knitting, that is what she was advised. I imagine it is because like anything you are keeping the joints moving, providing you don't do it long periods.

Just off to bed and we had a quiet evening, a simple meal and a glass of Prosecco and we watched that series The Stranger, from the Harlen Coben book. It's the third episode and it is really getting interesting, although I have read the book and still can't remember what it was all about. I don't know what is wrong with me, I can't even have a glass of red wine now and we'd found one we could all enjoy without side effects. Now a glass of Prosecco is becoming my limit. The worst thing is, I don't even really fancy it. Both my sister and I have been off wine since we had a cold in November, now what is that about!

    Morning all.
I had a lovely meal. It I’m afraid I didn’t take any photos his time. We didn’t talk about my row..I’m putting it behind me.
I’m sad we can’t have a better relationship but we will see. I am sad I didn’t have a better relationship with my brother but, as I have said to Susie in my return email, he was a wife beating, mesogenistic pig so he wasn’t a nice person when he was alive. I don’t miss him but I will miss my sister as she is actually a nice, if somewhat bitter, person. The ball is in my sisters court now. I’ve told her I love her and await to hear from her if she wants to.
Sheila, take it easy with the hand but hopefully it will ‘just’ be bruising and will feel better in a day or two.
DH bought me a beautiful card yesterday ..truly special..and some flowers...but I had to tell him not to buy them like that again as he was ripped off. They were half dead! He bought them from a garage..I ask you! Don’t men ever learn. I had to be ever so tactful when I mentioned it..but I don’t want him wasting money on flowers like that again. I would rather he didn’t buy me anything..bless him..he meant well and I appreciated the gesture though.
When we first dated, he came to the house with flowers for me..and my Mum! I knew then he was a keeper. Mind you...doing the housework is better if I’m honest! Lol
Off to crop for me today..the first day with me and my ‘shop’. Unfortunately there are not many people able to come today but hopefully I will make some sales.

Another blue cardigan I missed this one as it was in with my jumpers because it buttons right up so I use it like a jumper

And I have a wild violet in flower claiming it as blue because “Roses are red violets are blue”
