    evening buttons,
beautiful day here a bit warm for me though.

Elaine you did make me chuckle about the browns. Is your DH retiring from the service?

Sheila hope your mouth is feeling better, Slimfast is yuck I tried it many moons ago.

Went over mums for dinner today which I ended up cooking but that was ok as its something I enjoy doing. DD her partner and the cub came as well which was nice, even nicer he let me cuddle him up like a baby. Shame hes lost that nice baby smell. Sweaty boys yuck. I had my appointment come through for the eye test and Im on the macular list, wish I didnt have access to google !!!

    Morning all.
Don’t fret Fran..there is a lot they can do to help the eyes if it is needed. I used to take Mum regularly. Lol..you made me chuckle to.. about yucky little boys. I remember it well!
Yes DH is retiring after 20+ years in the fire service. At 61 he is finding it very hard on his body but because he can’t get his full 30 years in he won’t have the goLd plated pension everyone talks about..despite paying 14% of his salary in to his pension for the last 20+ years! He loves his job though so doesn’t really wat to retire but it’s a physically demanding job so needs must. He passed his fitness test in March..and he is the only firefighter in the London Fire Brigade over 60 to ever have passed it so he’s going out on a high.
    Ironing today...

    evening buttons,

Mary its a job sometimes to catch up. Im loving the LOs you are putting up. Skye looks a beautiful cat.

Elaine, wow thats an achievement passing a fitness test at 61, thats a long time to have been in the brigade I expect he will miss it.

I cant believe this is only the second week back it feels like we have done at least 7. I also cant believe how much sanitiser we are going through.

Hope its been as glourious where you live as it is here.

I’m glad that DH isn’t too upset about having a do. He doesn’t really like parties so if, or when, this virus goes away he will go to the pub with a few of his closest work mates and that will be that, although I am planning on a family celebration the weekend He actually retires.
I never knew that Denise! Coincidence!
    Another sunny day here

I agree, it’s not the same celebrating later.
Sounds like you’re counting the days to his retirement, is he sad about it ?

Denise, it’ll be nice to have a quiet day without the painter, I hate having people around the house you can’t relax properly.

Mary, off to see your LO, I’m still not scrapping much, thought I’d do better this month
