Oh Elaine, I wish I was more like you. I start to sort stuff and seem to create more mess. Now both the craft room floor and the bedroom floor are covered in boxes and files. That was such a bargain for the unit, well done.

The chiropractor could work for the Mafia torturing people, boy did it all hurt. Lots of ice and off to bed now, it will probably be quite sore tomorrow too but last time she got rid of the trapped nerve in my neck and stopped all the pins and needles in my hands so it's a case of no pain, no gain. Booked in again for about 10 days time. Hope your back is feeling better after the rest and you're right Elaine, we are load of old crocks.

Meant to say Mary, great photo and thanks for the hugs, we all need them I think. I forgot your post because I was swept away by Elaine's craft room.

I’m afraid I’m like you Susie. I sometimes wish I hadn’t bothered starting sorting, and I get bored half way through so it never gets completed. Some things I have nicely organised but things that I can’t decide how to sort stay a mess for ever ! Plus I have so much stuff now it makes it so much harder!
Your room looks great Elaine, and that unit , a real bargain !

Thanks. I can hire myself out for a fee...lol
Dry here so far...long may that continue.
A day at home today so I will be putting my tidy room to good use.
I don’t think I mentioned but my art teacher has asked me to make an installation for an upcoming exhibition she is hosting regarding the foundling museum (where babies were left in the Georgian period) when they couldn’t afford to support them. They would take them there and leave them with a token of some sort, a button, a piece of cloth etc. and if they could ever reclaim them, they could be identified by the token that had been left behind. That babies were always renamed so they could not be found without coming through the Foundling Charity first. Many babies were given to wet nurses, farm labourers wives, etc and were bought up by them, and maybe as long as 7 or 8 years later the birth mothers could come and take them back! Can you imagine how upsetting that would be if you had raised a child of your own and then had it snatched away from you? Anyway, I have been asked to make something representing that situation so I am making a shadow box with each section telling a little story without words. It’s very thought provoking! I’m trying to make mine with the Mothers in mind with lots of old embellishments and materials etc. There will be a description under the art works explaining the thought behind it so I have to have a background story in my mind. Anyway. I’m making a start on that today. Long winded explanation, but it explains what I’m doing.

That sounds very interesting , as well as lots of thinking involved Elaine.
I wouldn’t know where to start.
Hope we get to see the finished product. I’m sure that you will do it justice.
Well done you, on being asked to do it. You must be apprehensive, but proud .

Good luck with that Elaine, such a poignant story to tell, I'm sure you will more than do it justice. Really looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Alison, I'm horrified when I got to my craft room, never mind anyone else. I am so embarrassed about it, I didn't even want my great-nephew and niece to see it. Mind you, I think they just saw it as an Aladdins' cave and my g-nephew wanted to craft in there. Sadly there isn't the room.

Been out again today, a lot of running around so we haven't been in long.

    Afternoon all.
Damp and dreary here. Not done much today.
Been to SIL house to dig up a plant that Ken’s Dad gave her.
It’s an Amaryllis, and blooms every year. He gave me one as well, but mine died.
So I’m hoping this one will survive

Not much activity on here today. Is every one busy.?

That was a lovely thing to say Elaine and it is very true Mary, you get a staggering amount of scrapping done, don't undersell yourself. I wish I could get a fraction of the crafting done that you all do. Mind you, in my defence, I sleep half the day.

I've cracked on with my next knitting project though and it is going to be so cute. But I'm alternating trying to finish the little jacket at the same time, it's to give my fingers and arms a rest. It's all the sewing up and picking up stitches and knitting the picot edge, so fiddly but needs must. I also want to get some more sorting done today if possible.

    Oops, just found this unposted.

I ordered a big shop mostly for my next door neighbour and when it hadn't arrived by 7pm I rang them and it had been cancelled although they couldn't explain, how or why. Not by me that's for sure. I remember you had a problem with them not so long ago Elaine, at least I think it was Sainsbury's. If it was, what was the reason for yours not turning up? I do remember it caused a huge amount of inconvenience for you. Mine is coming tomorrow or the neighbour's is but we all want reliability. They are saying it must be a computer glitch but I thought I ask what happened to you before taking it further.

    Good morning Snappers
Spent yesterday with family got baby cuddles and lots of photos to scrap. Ru was drawing when I arrived and doing extremely well so I have photos of that. Eli wanted his Lego minecraft city down to play with and add to so I have photos there and while I was cuddling Lolly the boys came over and I have some selfies with them all.
Here is my silliest silly selfie

Lovely photo Mary I’m glad the visit has cheered you up.
Susie the problem I had was with Tesco’s Not Sainsbury’s. That said I won’t use Sainsbury’s anymore because of the high quantity of substitutions. Tesco’s is a no-no because their customer service was appalling after it happened. So now I am stuck with Ocado who are very good in terms of very few substitutions but they don’t always have many vans that come out to this area and so, unless I book a few days in advance, I don’t always get the slot I want. I tried Morrison’s once but I wasn’t very happy with the length of time the fruit and vegetables lasted so I shan’t use them again as a lot of my stuff is fresh. I haven’t tried Asda because there isn’t one particularly close to us. However we have a new Lidl opened about 15 minutes away from here so I suspect that I shall be visiting that more regularly and will do less online shopping anyway.
I got lost in my craft room yesterday making my shadowbox and I’ve made a good start but today I want to carry on sorting out a lot of photographs because I have decided to make an album for our ruby wedding anniversary party which I also started yesterday and managed to get two layouts done.
Its raining here and DH is working so I shall be pleasing myself! Lol
