    Off the page

It's the time of year when you are busy with other stuff and don't have a lot of time for scrapping so we'd love to see what you are making 'off the page'. Share your makes here (no pages or cards) and claim 30 bonus points to a maximum of one per week. If you can leave us a link to any instructions or places to buy that will be even better!

To get us started, I had 'learn to crochet' on my summer bucket list ... and I did! Here is a baby blanket I just finished using this YouTube video.

Great idea Sue, I made this sculptured wire star recently, thinking of hanging it in the centre of this years wreath. The teacher had a template made with wood and nails (nail heads removed so we could slip the wire off), that we wrapped the black wire round to make the main shape, then we took lengths of coloured wire and scrunched them up in our hands, keeping both ends free so you could 'stitch' it into the wire and around the base to secure it. Once done, you sandwiched the star between 2 pieces of wood and bashed with a soft hammer to flatten. It has scope to personalise in many ways - like add beads etc.

    Lovely sunflowery blanket SD.
Crafty Lady both super project, the deer must have been tricky as it's not a large piece.
