Card Stock Pound weight?

I have been using a very old Silhouette Portrait SD for many years and it is a truly great machine, I have never had any problems. I did also have the original Cameo, but couldn’t get on with it so I sold it. As I love my SD machine decided to purchase the Silhouette Portrait 2, as it can cut thicker materials and the addition of the auto blade sounded wonderful. However, I have some 300gsm card stock and it is not cutting it. My question is how can you add or change the drop down material list so you can adjust the cutting. I have tried all the pre-installed card options, but none are cutting completely through, even using extra passes. My Silhouette SD would cut through this card with 4 passes on blade setting 3. So I decided to put the ratchet blade in, but this didn’t cut the card either. I can cut 260gsm okay, but nothing thicker. I remember many moons ago seeing a chart that explained gsm versus pound weight, which I thought might be of help. Any help would be appreciated.

Eileen if you go to the bottom of the materials dropdown box click on 'user defined' you can add your own settings. For 300gsm card I use blade setting 4 and two passes. If it is intricate cutting I slow the speed down to 2, then it goes around inner corners cleaner.

I found a Paper Weight Conversation Chart some years ago from someone called Paper Mojo. I've just had a quick look at their site but couldn't find it but I'm sure that if you Google you'll find something. I'd do it but it's past my bed time!
