Susie, perhaps we should all pledge to make a purchase from each sponsor to show our support

Good idea Alison, but you are still enabling, not that I need an excuse.

    May I ask a question..
If we use a sponsor and we got into their site via UKS.. I assume they know we have been there because of our link. However, if we went into them by going direct through their own website..how would they know we are a UKS member..do we have to mention it? I’m always using Papermaze but not sure if I always remember to go in via here.

I've just ordered from Papermaze Elaine and I can't remember what I did so good question. I think I clicked through UKS but have wondered in the past if going directly means they don't know we are from UKS. So glad you brought this up.

I really don’t know for sure. If you click thru from UKS, and the sponsors site has tracking of clicks built in, and they checked, they would know. But that is a lot of IFs

You can add a note to the order if there is a way to do that to say Thanks for UKS support but otherwise it could be just another order to them.

I’m happy to send a donation again, is it best to do it now, or wait a little while ?
Thanks too to our sponsors, I due for a little shopping spree
I don’t know for sure. Obviously if there were £100s of donations the need for sponsors is less. But last year total donations equaled maybe one banner sponsor. Over the year. More like a tier one in December. So I’m not sure the timing matters. It only matters if we DON’T get enough and I have to return donations, which would be a pain if I got 150 donations but not if I got 10. And if I got even 50 donations it might make enough of a difference that things could carry on.

FYI I have had no further replies as of yet. But then every year I usually have to email people many multiple times before I hear from everyone.

I would also be sad to see UKS go, I have constantly found it a huge source of inspiration and fun. And since being part of a group and earning points, I've have some really good team mates, but I have noticed that not so many people use the site now. I too have donated in the past and will do again.
Fingers crossed we can carry on - if not, what alternatives do we have?

Thank you MA and the sponsors who have already said yes.
I think everyone knows how much UKS means to me and - with Sue alongside who is the perfect perfect person for anyone to work with - I am very happy to do all I can to keep things going.

Like everyone else I am happy to keep donating but also appreciate that this might not be the sole solution.

There are far fewer people on here than in the past - I remember when we had 40+ teams for instance - but those who are here are loyal and active and people I love 'playing' with. Fingers crossed ladies.

Oh and watch out for the thread HERE and please please add if you are willing to set a challenge. Without volunteers they won't be able to carry on every week!

Crafts 4 Eternity says yes, but Gill at Foil Play is retiring (lucky girl!) so that is a no, but an expected one. So really there are just a couple more.... I'll send a follow-up to them this week. I imagine I would know for sure by December.

Thank you to Mary Anne, Karen and Sue for a great site. Due to home life I haven’t been scrapping the last year or so but when I do I love the challenges and it’s where I met my besties. As I start scrapping again I’ll be sure to make sure I support.

Thanks to everyone that keeps this site going, it's clearly appreciated by looking at the happy comments above
I do hope there will be enough support to keep this friendly site going in to the next year (and beyond).
