It all look so wonderful Elaine, I love those little banners with the scrabble letters, what are they made of? How long has it taken you to make all of those items?

Well, nephew's chosen career was as a football player but due to some bad treatment when he was out on loan, that was put paid to by injury. So his next in line is coaching and he loves it so fingers crossed something does come along for him but as with all things in life it is complicated.

Tell me Elaine, what do you use as a base for your mixed media items. Is it something like Gesso or something else? What gives a good base coat? How is your dog's ear now, is it healing?

Ellie, sorry to hear about your SIL, try to look after you in all of this. I know how busy you are going to be (((HUGS))).
Elaine, love all the things you've been making - you have been busy. Hope you recover from your cough to enjoy the sale.
Susie, I think you need to slow down a bit, you are doing far too much for other people. Take care of you and hubby more!!! Lecture over, for now.
I've been being creative myself today, I will snap what I've made and show you. Really pleased with the results

Sheila, you are absolutely right. I know you all have said the same, but tonight really brought it home to us. I know when I feel like running away that things are coming to a peak and when hubby feels the same it is reaching a point when we simply can't cope anymore. It would be different if our neighbour would help himself but he isn't taking any of this seriously. We worked out that in just over a week we have been out 6 times with him for appointments and that doesn't count the other things we are doing for him and our other neighbour every single day, it is endless. If someone won't help themselves what do you do! Hubby spent 3 hours this evening down in our neighbour's cellar outside trying to get her boiler going with the gas engineer.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing what you have been up to Sheila.

Great photo of Jack, Denise and what a perfect photo for the prompts too.

That’s a perfect picture of Jack for our prompt Denise. Bless him.
Thanks everyone for your kind words. Susie, I’ve only known about the craft show for a couple of weeks so about 70% has been made in that time but the rest I had ‘in stock’. I am hosting our WI craft stall on the 1st of December too so what doesn’t sell this weekend I can decide what I want to donate to that otherwise I have to store it all!
Susie, I would heed Sheila’s words.,you are doing way too much. You must be more selfish. Let others ie the authorities, take him to some appointments etc. Of course he’s not going to help himself when he has you two to rely on. There are transport services for those that need appointments...and why did DH have to be there with the gas engineer..was he not competent?
Those Christmas puddings sound lovely Mary. If I baked I’d have a go but I don’t..unless it’s a packet mix! Lol

Oops just remembered you asked about the scrabble letters.
It is some hessian ribbon with lace down either side. I then folded the top over by about an inch and glued down. I then stuck the letters to the front and added a flower to them. When it was all dry I slipped a cut down wooden skewer through the loop and cut a v in the bottom then tied the string around the skewer. If they don’t sell I will definitely be putting them on my tree. They are one of the favourite things I have made.

Susie, I agree with what Elaine says, you need to learn to say no and let the authorities look after your neighbours.
