Oh, and Susie, on a good note, you’ll be pleased to hear that my friends son with ME has discovered gardening and is doing really well. He is doing an RHS course, volunteering at a local National Trust property and helping a friend with her gardening business. He just has to watch he doesn’t overdo it

That is all so sad Alison, as you say going home will be difficult. So glad to hear that your friend's son has improved so much and that he is able to do a course and volunteer and help his friend. He must take care not to overdo it as you say, having a relapse is awful because you know now what is in store for you. I'm sure his mum will be keeping a watchful eye on him though. But it really is great news, I'm delighted for him and his family, as it is tough on everyone.

Elaine, that was a chance missed so you'll just have to go out and do it all again so you can get that photo.

I've just heard from Ellie and she appreciates all the concern. She wanted you all to know she will be back on here when she can. Her s-i-l doesn't sound at all good but there is a nurse in over night which has meant Ellie and her DH can go home and try to get some rest. I hope they are both managing to sleep, it's all about whether your mind will switch off though at times like this.

Gorgeous photo Elaine. Ours don't do shiny and black except as puppies when they have the fluffiest but silkiest jet black and white coat. After that it is all grey and some are very grey. Your dog looks so content. I bet the 'girls' would like the idea too.

    Thanks Susie.
We went out for a Chinese meal last night..here is our crispy duck and carved swede! It was delicious.. the duck not the swede! (Now I suspect I will spark the whole duck eating debate again...)

Not saying anything about the duck
Here was I feeling sorry for myself I seem to still have so much having to be on the phone to estate agents scottish power its a long ongoing saga which keep thinking is sorted
DH is in the mind oh just pay it not that I have a bill yet I know I want to but want to know what paying for this goes back to 2017 so the estate agents are def not on top of things the new tenant rent hadnt been paid but they still hadnt thought to find out why anyway when I read the sad post about DD friend Alison it does make me feel I shouldnt complain and let this get me down
I just wish DH was more a complainer so I dont have to do it all I not by nature but maybe I am now through practice

My dog is Digby Denise. My baby, he’s 7. I refuse to think of him getting older. He’s always welded to my side.
Sorry you’re still having so much hassle with Scottish Power too. Grr!
    What soup was it Mary?

Home made roast vegetables I cooked extra on Sunday so I could make a tasty soup had to add a little bit of a stock cube to it as it didn’t have quite enough flavour and it made enough for two days yesterday and today

A lot of people complain about Scottish Power so you aren't on your own. When I checked the reviews it was the worst of the lot so it was one off the list. I hope you get it all sorted soon Denise, don't give up. My hubby isn't a complainer either but why would they need to when they have us to do it for them.

It is funny how we have certain things that we won't eat and yes it is duck for me, can't do it. I feel such a hypocrite, I would love to be vegetarian and we have cut our meat consumption down a lot but not enough really.

It's soup weather at the moment, well, it is here. We went to the vets, not particularly good news I'm afraid to say, and then did a Sainsbury shop and it started to rain as we came out, so back to dodging the rain with the boys now.
