Susie, your flowers are beautiful and so healthy looking, it’s lovely to see the result of all your hard work, hope you have time to sit down and enjoy it all .
We have to wait a few more weeks to find out whether it’s a boy or girl.
Ellie, enjoy your meal out x

What an exciting time Alison. It seems like only yesterday Lara was born and look how big she is now. Talking of big girls, our neighbour's little girl is not 2 until November and she is already wearing clothes for 2-3 years. She's very chatty and such a happy little girl. Mind you, her mummy and daddy are tall so she has the genes.

Thanks Alison, we've just cut our tiny lawn and our neighbours because it looks like it might rain after having a lovely sunny day. I need sun for my peppers and of course to sit out and have an afternoon break. That alone would be nice.

First cucumber flower and there are lots now but I think it is the males I have to pick off. My peppers look a bit wonky, but I think more sun will help them.

The reason I struggle with doughnuts is ever since we went on a fairground ride. It was one of those swing type things, high up and going round and round. It would have been fine but beneath us was the doughnut van and the smell of fat wafting up nearly made me sick. They'd have those vans in town and just walking anywhere near them the smell would make me feel sick, it's all the fat. I've always had trouble with the smell of fat cooking, even walking past a chip shop can be too much.

Here's a nice foliage, one of the coleus not eaten by slugs. The next is the flowers on the hellebore that shouldn't be flowering, one pink and one white. I'm delighted as I had no idea when they arrived what colours they might be, it was pot luck. Ellie, they are still sort of turned down the hellebore flowers I mean, do they eventually sit upright or do they hide their beautiful faces?

I just read your post on Green Buttons chatter Alison, I'm a middle child and it's a tough life! Mind you, I loved having a baby sister and was very protective of her, still do and still am and she's 62.

The doughnuts from those vans are not the same they are greasy and not at all nice. Proper doughnuts are much much nicer
