Exclamation 2019 card challenge - May

    Morning all!

The Pin-spiration for this month has gone a decidedly magical route....

    05 - May pinspiration.jpg

Don't worry if you see this image and think, oh not unicorns!

If they aren't your thing, look beyond and see the individual elements that could be interpreted for many card themes.

I've listed lots and lots of ideas over on my blog to kick start your creativity!

    Happy crafting!

The full instructions and details for this year's challenge can be found in the intro post on my blog here and in the January intro post on the forum.

Past prompts (and card ideas) are all tagged under 2019 card challenge on my blog so you can find them easily in one place.

Also for those of you on Instagram, I'll be using the hashtag #2019handmadecardchallenge to share my projects there, so feel free to use this tag on Instagram as well!

    Points for this challenge:
On top of the standard 5 points per any card you make, if you make a card for the monthly challenge you can now claim an extra 10 points!
As with all the other UKS challenges you can only claim this once a month.

Ooh..I love this. I’m really into unicorns at the moment as I’m busy making Unicorn wands for our village fete stall so I’m sure I’ll manage something magical.

Thank you for another great month of prompts!

Ooh very clever Elaine . Loving all the pink, and those eyelashes are so lovely.
Nothing wrong with the bow !! Like the delicate pretty stems and pink buttons.

Thank you Ellie. It was Pinterest inspired. I hand drew the horn and wrapped sparkly cotton round it, then drew the ears and used some gold packaging I’d been hoarding, did the same with some white card but smaller for the ears. The eyelashes are a crescent cut using a circle die twice, then I drew the eyelashes on. I will probably do some more of these for the fete as ‘noonicorns’ are so popular these days

Another lovely card Elaine. As I said before, very clever.
Is that last ribbon pale grey or a green colour.

Good grief you've been busy Elaine. Love the unicorn cards, really cute. I love all the button cards but my absolute favourite (not that you asked my opinion but you're getting it anyway) is the last one. I love the freshness of the green ribbon and yeloow buttons and goes so beautifully with the green stamped image. They are all really pretty though.

Now I am going to ask your opinions, I may not take it but I'll ask anyway. these prompts have tied in so well with some new frame dies that I've bought. I've been after them for ages but had to wait until they came down to a reasonable price. also I have found probably my favourite ever border die. It is going on the wedding album when I get round to it of course. So, I've been making a card for my sister and I have found numerous way to use these die but I'm not sure which one to go with so I've taken two photo's, nothing is glued down yet and I will be making both cards and more eventually - but, which should I send to my sister. Trying to get a photo of this gorgeous glitter card which is a pale brushed gold was so hard. So what do you think ladies, hubby is saying either will do he likes them both.

These are a much nicer colour in real life and meant to say Nat, thanks for such great prompts, especially the glitter and gold.

It’s a green organza ribbon Ellie.

Thanks Susie.. I like the one with the green ribbon too. I’ve made another three more this afternoon, using buttons but patterned paper background behind the white. I’ve had the stem stamps for ages and never used them. I think it’s going to one of my favourites for quick cards now. I’ve made 11 today..three unicorn ones and the rest variations on the button cards. All for the fete of course.

Personally I love the ‘Special one’..although..and I’m going to sound like hubby now, either will suffice as they are both beautiful.
