I take it you've never read any Harry Potter books or seen the films Ellie? Muggles are people who aren't born into a magical family. This sign was on the rear of a car so a bit of a change from "If you can read this you are too close."

You are right Susie. I haven’t read or watched any Harry Potter. Fantasy things
just don’t interest me!! So it went way above my head

Great photo Elaine. But I must say, I never wore anything like that
The nearest thing I wore was mini skirts and flowered blouses

Don’t worry Mary if you don’t get it. I think it’s supposed
    to be sarcastic!!

Ellie, I hate fantasy and science fiction and the first book was lent to me by my neighbour's son. I remember lying in bed reading the first couple of pages and thinking "this is a kid's book, I won't enjoy it.' Not sure what happened next but I was straight into the book and had to read every one after that. They are amazing, the characters and ideas she has are truly incredible. Give one a go but try it with an open mind. I think the reason I enjoyed them is because she writes the books in such a way, it doesn't feel like fantasy, you can actually imagine these things exist. Worth checking out.

Hubby loves science fiction films, I haven't even seen The Matrix, can't watch Dr. Who, Star Trek, Star Wars, Game of Thrones you name it and that's why I never thought Harry Potter was for me, how wrong was I.

I love the 60's get up Elaine, where are the purple flares though? Purple flares and Reefer jackets, what a blast from the past.

Moss and mounds are good Ellie, we have a whole garden wall covered in moss but I walked passed it yesterday without a second thought.

I have a few more M's from yesterday.

The Masonic Lodge, the Molasses factory as we join the motorway being the M53.

Good photos Susie. Molasses sounds nice. Does it smell when you go past?

No I dont like science fiction either. Never seen any of those films.
The only science fiction book I’ve read many years ago was
The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham. I really enjoyed it, but
    frightened myself to death

Funnily enough, years ago when I was starting out house buying on my own I went to look at a house a few streets away from there and asked if you could smell the molasses and they said no. Awful place and I found a lovely little house just outside the centre of Liscard not long after. Also, not long after there was a piece in the Wallasey News about residents complaining about the smell from the factory. In those days estate agents just gave you a list of houses in your price bracket and to be honest if I'd realised where it was initially I don't suppose I'd have bothered going. It's all fate in the end. Now we have to go that way to gain entry to the motorway junction!

When I moved to Wallasey I found the dental practice and have been going there ever since. Over 40 years now.

Funny how things pan out Susie.
We are the same , been going to our dentist for about 49 yrs.
Even when we moved we still travelled to the dentist.
He was just out of training when we first went to him, and worked in the
practice for the owner, but soon set up his own practice and we went with him
    Lovely man.
