    Paper for stamping?

I've been out of the loop for awhile so have lost track of current brands and trends. I seem to remember there were some paper brands that were better for stamping. Can anyone please let me know what to look for? The paper I remember was white, very smooth, fairly heavy, and gave a really good impression for stamping. Thanks for any help.

    Welcome back, Jane.

For stamping I use Satin Silk ArtCard which is about 350gsm.

I now use Neenah solar white in 110 lb 8.5 x 11 format after purchasing a ream of it from the US as I was going through the A4 UK version from Crafter's Companion quickly and knew having a good quality heavyweight cardstock in bulk would suit me best as I could use it for card blanks as well. I mainly now create cards in US A2 format which the majority of my background dies are geared toward which is why I prefer 8.5 x 11 card as there's much less waste for me.
I would give the Neenah solar white in 80 lb and 110 lb from Crafter's Companion a go to see how you like it. It's available in smaller packs which are great for trialing.
I used to use Bazzill cardshoppe in Marshmallow but was unable to find it in the UK easily - I still use what I have left of that for die cutting, but prefer to use Neenah for stamping as dye ink just works better on it.

Thanks for the replies. I've been going through my OLD craft supplies and found some unopened packs of stamping paper so I'm set. In the meantime, I've been throwing out dried up inks, pens, etc. and replenishing only a few things. I've been watching YouTube videos of some new-ish techniques...a lot of them aren't really new, but I just forgot how to do it!
