Exclamation 2018 card challenge - November

    Morning everyone!

For this month's design element we're focusing on one of my favourite design techniques, especially for Christmas cards (entering panic phase now).

We are setting the scene on our cards

It doesn't just have to be something wintry, there are plenty of ways you can set the scene, and not just for landscapes. You can include character images, animals, balloon backgrounds, clouds, rainbows, seaside themes, underwater scenes, birds on a tree branch - there are basically endless creative possibilities.

I've shared one of my go-to wintry scenes over on my blog here.

The full instructions and details for this year's challenge can be found here in the January post.

And past prompts are all listed under the tag 2018 card challenge on my blog.

Also for those of you on Instagram, I'll be using the hashtag #2018handmadecardchallenge to share my projects there, so feel free to use this tag on Instagram as well!

    Enjoy!

That is a gorgeous card Nat. I can't seem that I'll managing anything remotely like that and I don't make many Christmas cards but I do have a little idea so watch this space...

Excellent, and thanks for the lovely comment Susie. If in doubt I always deploy that Memory Box country landscape border die... it's my go-to festive fix. So I should manage something this month eh?

Nice prompt Nat, and as Susie says, that is a gorgeous card.
Scenes are not something I do on cards very often but i’ll see what I can come up with

Nat, I cannot see your card. I keep getting a message that says...
Safari cannot find this page, the URL cannot be shown. So I went directly to
your web page and a sign came up saying.... close this page immediately, someone may
Be imitating it to gain your personal information.
    So I didn’t carry on!!
Could you post it here on the sight, so I can see it. Thanks Ellie.

I had the same problem when I clicked on the word HERE, Ellie. I clicked on Nat's KoolKittyMusings in the end and it took me to the page. It's always worrying when something like that happens but I've never had it happen with nat's links before but you weren't on your own.

Not at all, don't doubt yourself, it was a glitch. It's the same whenyou pay by card in a shop and it's rejected. We all immediately think we've put the wrong pin in, but often it can be the machine that is faulty.

I’ve done this one..... not sure about it!!!
It’s more sparkly IRL. Think it should have been on a darker card,
to show up the white die,
    What do you think ?

I really like the bird stamped image You have a lot of bird stamps Ellie
I do like the bling too
The white die is very subtle and delicate with the white card but I like the image on white so I would have done the same
Or you could have cut the die in red to match the sentiment but no I rather like the white die with the white card classy look and snowflakes and snow says white
