Hope you got on ok at the hospital Susie..and they find the cat! How distressing!
I managed to get out in the garden earlier..in between showers as it poured down most of the day..again....Iím so sick of this now! Mind you at least we donít had snow again! Poor you Ellie!
Glad you managed to get booked up for York Mary. I managed to book a room in a local hotel for my brothers funeral on the 20th..unfortunately we donít yet have dog sitters so itís looking anxious!
Here are the photos I took in between the showers.. my hellebores.. complete with rain drops, puddles on my patio, hyacinths and muscari and my sedums that are starting to come up.

Nice photos Elaine. I can almost smell those Hyacinths.
It’s stopped raining here at the moment, let’s hope it lasts.

Like your seeds and jars Denise.
I love African Dasies. We call them Osteospermums. I think that’s the same thing.
I have some really nice white with a blue tip. They always brighten up a pot or two.
I usually take cuttings, but didn’t remember last year, so I hope they reappear this year!

I like the rain on the hellebores Elaine forgot to say earlier
We do get osteospernums here too they open in the sun
The african daisy is a bit gazania like they grow wild in namaqualand northern cape and lovely show of spring flowers its tricky if take a trip to go see them as flowering time can vary and if its not sunny you dont see anything last year was a poor year as they also flower after the rains
I keep getting muddled here which thread I on what I said where

Beautiful photo's everyone especially considering you all had such awful weather. We had the least nasty weather of all and have nothing much to show for it in the garden. Perhaps that sudden burst of sun after the snow has brought things on quickly. A bit like popping grass seed in the fridge before sowing the seed, it brings it on quickly. Who knows.

No news on the cat but my sister's m-i-l or ex I should say but we are all very close, has been rushed to hospital with pneumonia. She's okay so far, but if they let her out she will be cleaning and doing housework no matter what. Her house is like a new pin and she bends from the waist to clean her carpets by hand because her knees are so bad and she has terrible pain. Such a wonderful person but she forgets she's in her late 80's now, absolutely incredible.

As for me, there is no need for me to go back (yet anyway) but I have to take the aspirin and he definitely wants me on statins. They did an ECG and took bloods whilst I was there, dread to think what my cholesterol is but I'll find out soon enough. As for the statins, he has suggested the more expensive ones which my GP told me about because you can have a much lower dose of them. The thing is, how they affect most people and how they affect someone with M.E. are two completely different things. I'll start the aspirin, which I hadn't because of mixing it with Ginkgo Biloba, which already thins the blood, but he's not concerned about that. As for the statins, the jury is still out, I still don't trust them. I see my GP next week and the results will be back before then so we can chat about it then.

I don't trust the statins either and took myself off them as I am sure that they were taking away the good effect that Glucosamine & Chondroitin have had on my joints I was getting pain in my hips again and haven't had that since I started taking them.

What's your cholesterol Mary, as in how high is it? Mine always used to be around 7.5 even in my 30's so they know it is familial cholesterol from mum's side of the family. Mind you, they told us it was her strong heart and all the good care she received that kept her going so long with the Alzheimer's. She was nearly 90 when she died, but having said that, we now feel awful that looking after her so well, kept her living in that awful state longer than she might have. It was a lose, lose situation really.

    Good morning Snappers
Mine was 8 something I think but I can’t remember. I was very reluctant to take the statins in the first place and of course the count is for all colesterol so doesn’t take into account how much is bad and how much is good.
