Circle nesting dies - getting inner ridge/dent all around circles

Hi. I'm having trouble with a set of Xcut circle nesting dies. When I put them through my Hobbycraft die cutter I am getting a small ridge just inside the circles, all the way round. Am using the correct plates and so don't understand it. They weren't cheap and I'm wondering if they could be faulty. Any advice much appreciated. Thank you, Maddy

I've had times like this, found that by changing the layering it helped. I either have the die with the paper on top, or do the reverse, the paper and then put the die on top. Failing that, try different pieces of paper to create a shim. I've also used a rubber mat before which has helped. It's quite a common thing.
