Don't be daft Ellie, that is a lovely card, I like the white, red, silver, white, red combo, it gives it a cooler effect. I love embossed backgrounds, they give a plaine piece of card stock a whole different look don't they.

That is a printed image and I die cut it originally and put glitter on and that's the one I forgot to use. I'd also printed a sentiment on it, so made completely the wrong card. I'll make the other and post it.

Gorgeous cards Elaine. I particularly love the little wreath cards, is that an embossed background or was it a bought card stock, it's so effective?

    Thank you ladies
Susie...it is an embossing folder. A Sizzix one. I got it from my Stampin Up demonstrator. It's lovely for Christmas. I'm going to craft club tomorrow and I'm going to make a few more cards then..possibly using this folder again. The wreath is made of punched fir leaves laid in a circle around a small circle pencilled on the background. I'm hopeless at tying proper bows though so these will suffice.

Oh I love that Ellie, especially the way you have that little piece of holly curled round the sentiment. It's touches like that which always catch my eye.

Lovely cards ladies, I’m desperate to do some crafting but will have to wait a few days more. Off to the craft stores tomorrow, mainly cooking and eating today as it’s thanksgiving
