I've just taken one, it isn't too bad, I can always try again tomorrow but you'll get the idea.

That's as close to Marina blue as I can get and funnily enough Nat, it's called China blue as in your crockery! For the insert I've used the same patterned paper but reduced the opacity down to about 30%, it just finishes off the inside nicely.

We crossed Denise. I'm knitting a very lacy matinee jacket in pink. Tricky pattern, especially when you have to pick up the pattern after casting off the armholes etc... but I've got the hang of it now, but can't talk at all when I'm doing it because it is 10 lines of pattern, each one different.

Do you not download papers or have any cd's with backing papers on Denise. I love to print and play around with designs and this way you never run out of a favourite paper. If you have a half decent printer and some decent quality white paper you can print anything. I glue white cards to copy paper with repositionable glue and then you can print a whole card in whatever pattern or colour you want. It is so much fun or at least I think so, I know Mary would agree with me because she loves digi, don't you Mary.

I found this online the other day and just have to get round to using it somewhere. Let's see if I can post it. Be great on a scrapbook page or a card. Or this patterned paper.

The papers look lovely and you can print just what you need but is it the same as rummage through stash? that's the bit I like
I sorted out blue colours so hope to make a card today

Such pretty papers Susie, but I don't get on with printers though, and also as Denise says, I love a good stash rummage.
I haven't had chance to rummage for this months colours yet, maybe later

Ah, but you see I have both and until I've used up some of the many 12x12 papers I already have, I really shouldn't be buying more. I will buy a few that take my fancy now I'm making this wedding album but I have 2 - 15 tier drawers full of scrapbook papers plus lots of 12x12 pads. I've probably got more scrapbook papers than the craft centre I go to, everything from Brenda Walton, K&Co, Anna Griffin, s.e.i., Bo Bunny, Kaisercraft, creative imaginations, Papermania. I have some gorgeous Doodlebug and Rahyer designs the list goes on and on. The good thing is the wedding album is making me use some of the beautiful wedding ones which I bought for our album that I've never made, however, you can't buy those papers now.

I still love printing though, especially pretty floral designs and as I go round craft shops and see what is available it often reminds me that I have something very similar at home. The only stash I've bought of late is the wedding papers and a couple of the High Tea, because they are pretty, pretty, pretty.

So I guess what I'm saying is, there's room for both buying and printing your own. At present I'm trying to persuade hubby to let me have the rear bedroom so I can have a stunning craft room like Elaine has. Fat chance.

I was beginning to get worried about you Denise, glad you're back as Ellie said.

Both lovely cards and you are so right, amazing what you can achieve when you're not nattering on here, but then we'd miss our fun, wouldn't we.
