Warm up for NSD - a Challenge Class :)

    Hello all!

I wanted to do something a little different for you all for this NSD mini CyberCrop, and had a layout in mind. But when we moved, it went walkabout. No, not really, but can I find it? No I cannot.

I've written up the instructions for you, and I have the photos of the layout pre-embellishments. I will be working on another one this week, and hopefully some of you will be too! Add yours to the NSD Mini CC forum.

I am offering a prize for a randomly drawn layout - it will be a box of goodies from my overstuffed stash. You have till the closing day to upload your layout/mini-book.

The layout is based on the Endless Card idea, where the card flips open, then flips again and again before returning to the original position.

I accept this may not be to everyone's taste, as it does require the layout to come out of the page protector to be fully viewed, so you can alternatively make it into a mini-book by starting with a smaller circle. That would also qualify for the prize draw. If you want to make one, but not my round version, here is a link to making the more common square version. Also qualifying.

You can always make it smaller and make a card instead. It won't be eligible for the prize, but still feel free to share it in the Gallery!

So basically a mini-book or layout qualifies, a card does not.

Clicking the link below will download the PDF.

    Flexi-layout_nsd2017.pdf

I am very interested to see how many of you rise to the challenge! This should really stretch your scrapbooking muscles and get you nice and limber for Saturday!

I sat down this morning to make a flexi-layout and take some photos to give a few tips. Here is another PDF that might give you some extra info.

I've lost the light but here are some shots of the finished layout. All done but the journaling and I need some input from my Dad for that!

Yes, it is a little on the challenging side, but as you probably now realize it isn't particularly difficult if you work thru it carefully! I am excited to see what you come up with! I actually had quite a lot of fun with it so might even try another mini-book version myself....

Normally I would run from this because a) I have an irrational dislike of scrapping with circles, b) My fluffy brain can't handle more than one page of instructions and c) I've no idea what I'd put in it, but I decided to break out my new Cricut to cut some circles and give it a go.

Despite looking scary, the longest part was actually waiting for the glue to dry and it is great fun to fiddle with it once done. Just looking for a set of pictures to put in it then I'll upload it.
Don't be scared to give it a shot folks.
