And another one bites the dust...

So it's goodbye to Basic Grey, yet another big name to stop producing papercrating materials.
When I first started scrapbooking, 10 years ago, Basic Grey were top of the tree for so many of us. Sad to see them go.

I was just about to start a thread along the very same lines! I am gutted - I have always loved BG since I started scrabooking and use their papers all the time (I have so many!). I love the way they work together and can be mixed and matched.

BG was my favourite paper ever. I still hoard some of it. There were a few dodgy collections but some were so fab I would wallpaper a room in them if I could.

    so sad

Me too - they were my 'go to' company. I loved their 'plain' papers especially, with the wonderful shabby chic look.

I loved their shabby chic stuff but wasn't so keen on some of the more recent ranges. Such a shame to see another big name stop papercraft products.

I'm so glad I bought and hoarded so many 'bargain' BG collections, mainly earlier ones, but some newer. I have a few 'masculine' sets which are great - for men / male LOs, not ones with robots and cars for little boys!

I remember getting some flamboyant Scarlett's Letter paper in, if I remember correctly, a cybercrop kit - it was the first time I'd used such a bold paper, and i loved it!

It was a bit sudden wasn't it but it was wierd because as soon as I saw the subject line of that email I knew what it'd say before I opened it

I liked Scarlet Letter too and the lilac/blue and yellow one, Lily Kate I think it was called and there was a really crazy one called Euphoria - not something I could ever use for scrapping but I made some really cool stationery with that collection pack
