    Challenge #10: Stashbusting

Hi Everyone and welcome back to the UK Scrappers 2014 Summer Scrapbooking Challenge. This is our final challenge and is therefore the finale!

This challenge is about stashbusting. We've all got loads of stash, and even if you are the most frugal scrapper I'm sure there are things in your stash that you wish you could just get used up. However stash busting can get overwhelming if you are faced with every sheet of paper in your craft room. So today's challenge is to pick out a set of supplies (fairly large) and then make three layouts from that AND ONLY THAT - no adding! This means you have to use what you've picked out, so try to include things you'd like to see used, and then when the urge comes to rummage around looking for extra things - resist it and stick only to the supplies you've already pulled out. Because the supplies are limited, it makes it quite easy to throw together three layouts in a short amount of time.

Your supply list is as follows:
    Papers:
three x 12x12 sheets for your backgrounds (3 layouts total)
up to 5 other full sheets that you can cut up and use for layers
    a load of scraps
I also had two cut apart sheets to cut emblems/motifs from to use as embellishments.

    Embellishments:
    large shapes/die cuts/PL cards
    Some medium sized shapes/die cuts
Small embellishments such as enamel dots, wood veneer shapes, brads etc
up to 4xwashi tapes and finally:
    alpha stickers, big and small.

Challenge #10 is worth 30 bonus points for your team if you are a points-collector but please note you much make THREE LAYOUTS from one set of supplies to claim the additional points for this challenge. Please share your layouts on Instagram using the hashtag #uks2014summerscrapbookingchallenge and/or in the UKS dedicated Gallery.

You can see my three layouts below:

and I go through my supplies in detail in the video:

and in the video I had three rough sketches that I worked to, please feel free to use them if you want to:

My UKS team-mate Fay took on this mammoth challenge for me and has provided her three sample layouts:

So that concludes the UKScrappers 2014 Summer Scrapbooking Challenge. I hope you've enjoyed all the challenges and that you find something that will give you a bit of inspiration to keep you scrapping this summer. If you are a points-collector then you have until midnight on 30th September to upload your layouts to the gallery and collect the bonus points for your team. If you aren't a points-collector then please join in for your own enjoyment and we'd still love to see your layouts in the gallery.

I have finished this one now. I also managed 4 by adding a sheet of kraft, and used a link in blogbits for my inspiration. I think, if I add some plain cardstock, I will get a couple more too.
So, I have the 3 to count for this challenge and then one for the blog bits points too.
Did not think I would like this but I plan to use this technique again for a crop. Thanks, Niki.

This 4th LO was made with the kit plus an extra sheet of cardstock. It is a Blogbits link for a LO by Kirsteen and is my take on it.

Found this challenge really interesting, especially as I didnt use that much of my 5 12x12 sheets. I may even go onto challenge myself to make several layouts just using off cut pieces rather than diving straight for the full 12x12s

Well I thought this was going to be much harder - I cheated slightly I suppose in using a kit, but the supply list was the same and I did the three layouts - surprised how easily they came together.

Thank you Niki for all the lovely summer challenges

    anyway, here they are
