    Lightbox Query?

At the moment I do quite a few paper cuts, where I find an image I like, print it out, then trace the image onto tracing paper, then go over the lines on card. I've seen lightboxes, and wondered if this would cut the tracing paper step out, so I can use the box to trace the image straight onto the card. Would anyone who has a lightbox be able to tell me if this would work?? I'm not talking thick card, just the weight of the type you get from a place like Hobbycraft loose.

Don't think it will Zoe. I use the lightbox for tracing onto bondaweb for applique shapes. It's basically the same as taping the image to a window and taping the paper over it to trace it. The card would still be too thick to show the light and the image through

I've used a light box for tracing through embossing stencils onto card! Not sure it would work for what you describe though.

It would be worth giving it a try, if there is a Staples / Ryman / Osbornes near you that stocks one I'm sure they'd let you try it!!

Mine certainly doesn't have a bright enough light to show through card.

Thank you for your help - I must admit I didn't think that it could work - this is a much cheaper way to check!!

Try the 'window' technique on a bright day... definitely a cheaper option!
