Week One Tuesday: Colour Palette Choices

Our second step with our before and after layout is to select colours and supplies. Remember, we're breaking this down into just one short task at a time, so if you are doing a little each day you will need to remind yourself it's a little different than grabbing your supplies and getting straight to work!

There are many ways to choose colours and we're going to talk about different ideas for that each week, but today has a very specific step by step process for you to try. Let us know how you get on! Existing members can attach images to show us what colour scheme you have chosen. Feel free to show us the colour scheme on your screen or what you've selected as your supplies - or both. I think brand new members may need a few posts under their belt before they can post an image to the discussion thread, so if you don't find it as an option, do a little more chattering and you'll be good to go soon.

I hope you'll give this idea a try and see how it changes your process!

So wish I wasn't at work so I could have a good play with photos. Especially as my before after is about colour change.

That's really clever. My photos have a lot of shades of brown, but this gives me a lovely colour scheme of cream, peach and blue. Now to see what paper I can find.

Always challenging me. Use new way (computer generated) color matching program + learn how to put two photos together! I am NOT panicking! I WILL sit down this week and complete this prompt! I will be all the stronger and wiser for it!

Wow!! That was fun! Started picking papers! Made me realize I don't have some of the colors! Ha! P.S. I am so excited I accomplished ALL the above!

That was fun! After playing around on the site for a bit I ended up liking the monochromatic version best with my one colored photo and one sepia photo. Hope I can find supplies to match once I get home today.

Silly me in thinking that you needed a color wheel for this.

What a great way to pick your colors! Now where did I put those pictures!

This is really fun, but I think I have to look for another photo. They are too green.

    Wonderful Ideas

Thank you for the great suggestion. I have all but given up on choosing papers based on the colors in the photos (even though I really like this look) because I can never seem to get it quite right. I can't wait to dip into my supplies and try again with the help of these sites.
