Old Stash New, New Stash SU!: May Part 1, NEW STASH!

Welcome back OSNNSSU-ers - Leanne here!

This month I'm back onto the new stash - Stampin' Up! BRAND new stash, to be precise!

The paper range I chose was the gorgeous new This & That range, which not only stands alone as a paper range for card-making, scrapbooking, and many other papercrafts, but also was made to perfectly complement our new Smash-book style range of products!

I only used the papers and washi tapes for my layout, as I wanted to prove you don't need a lot of embellishments and what not to create a striking visual piece - but there are stickers, a roller stamp, and a journal to match!

I also used my favourite alphabet stamp set, Morning Post - which comes with the nifty pointing hands you see on the layout - carefully positioned to create a triangle to frame the layout and draw your eye around it

In terms of style, I tried to go for a cleaner, graphic one to contrast with the embellishment-heavy layout I showed you last month from my old stash, too. Variety is the spice of life!
However, I couldn't resist adding a little depth and dimension though, by cutting out individual hexagons, adhering some flat, and using Stampin' Dimensional foam pads to pop others up off the page - I used the same technique for my letters too.

Anyway - enough about my layout, I've attached the sketch and I can't wait to see what you do with it - turn it like I did, flip it, or use it as it is - the choice is yours!

    Thanks for dropping in,
    Leanne xxx

PS. Did I mention there's a great bundle offer on the whole This & That range? If you order the journal, papers, stickers, rotary date stamp, and washi tapes together, you save 15%... PLUS I'm throwing in a free pen and a sample of the clips shown in the promo leaflet!
There's full details in my Stampin' Up! blog article- Ciao for now

So how did everyone get along with using their new stash on this sketch? I'm wondering where you all are

Don't forget, just because I use SU new stock, it doesn;t mean you have to. I'd love to see som cusotmers come on and show off their new purchases if they suit the photo - but your new non-SU stash is just as welcome on this thread!

PS. To boost your scrap-etite (See what I did there? ) here's a little extra from one of my Design Team members, Ryah:

I'm dipping a toe in here, can you remind me if the 'new stash' has to be a brand new/recently bought out range or just 'new to me'? I have a couple of kits which contain papers and they're (at most) a couple of months old.

Hi Jayne, I think your kits of a couple of months old will do nicely They are new, not months and months old, and as you also said, "new to you", which also counts
