I've been working on this most of the afternoon. Got the idea but hell and all trouble getting the basic shape to weld so I could work with it, then realised I was having a DOH!! hour, but it's finished.
To convert this file to a GSD, open the file in Inkscape and save as DXF to load and cut in RoboMaster, simple
Sorry just the rectangles this time. I thought I'd saved the element I made them from but it's hiding somewhere if I find it I'll make the ovals and upload them.
Here is another one, I choose masculine colours for this one.
I've added a GSD to this post, for Jean and anyone else who isn't sure about resaving the files as GSD to show it can easily be done.
I separated all the pieces in Inkscape from the card
save as DXF load in RM
drag the old imaginary box around each piece
and group, to keep all the lines together for easier moving around,
Any thing not in the cutting area won't cut, so there is no need to worry about them.
The other way is
select only the pieces you want to cut in Inkscape
copy and paste to a new document
save as DXF load into RM
select each piece and group.
This is a very simple design done in DM and converted to GSD via the PDF method made for a friend's birthday which is coming up soon. Decorated with ribbon, beads and mulberry flowers it will sit nicely on a 5 x 7 card.
I have included the outline of the 2 shapes in the GSD file to facilitate cutting a "lining".
I really liked a similar nestie so I thought I would have a go and design my own and this is the result. The smaller 2 have been cut and they come out really well so I hope they will be of use to some of you and this is my turn to give something back for all the wonderful templates I have used from here.
