    September's Short-Notice Getting Ready Notes!

Thank you for your EXTREME patience this September! We have four full tutorials left for the year, I assure you! Sadly we were meant to move house on the fifth (cue everything - even scrap stuff - in boxes) but in the end the house wasn't sorted until the 22nd! That was way longer than I planned to be living from my overnight bag, I tell you. (For those familiar with Learn Something New in September, there is seriously a lesson in my album this month that says 'It usually helps for the last family to move OUT before the new family moves IN!' But now they are moved out! Our boxes are moved in! I am making amazing wardrobe selections by pulling random clothes from boxes until I collect enough layers to stay warm! HOW IS ANY OF THAT LESS THAN PERFECT? Exactly.

    Onward.

Like I've sorted everything for the September tutorial now, so I'll give you this short-notice getting ready note and then tomorrow I'll get all the steps here for you! Please note I'm not really sure what time I'll be able to get them up tomorrow as I have to go somewhere to nab the internet (I can do one photo from my phone but I think I might scream with all that pasting to do twenty separate steps!) but at some point on Thursday I will get all the steps posted here. Cool? Thanks!

This month, we're focusing on JOURNALING CARDS, SPOTS & SUCH. When I was packing my crafty things I found whole packs of the lovely spots stowed away in pretty packaging, never used! Disaster. So this month's tutorial puts plenty of them to use. They can be any size, shape and colour you like: we're just going to aim to use several. If for some reason you haven't been drawn to them like a moth to a flame and so don't have a hundred or so spares just sitting around, then not to worry! You could also print some as you like. Search for free printable journaling spots and Google will amuse you for days, I'm sure.

You'll also need a subtle patterned paper for the background sheet. I'm going with that grey with white polka dots from Dear Lizzy Neapolitan.

I realised I don't use chipboard much and cleared out a great deal of my chipboard stash, but now I need to put the saved pieces to work. I pulled out a few small printed chipboard pieces to work with the journaling spots. You might have something similar, but don't panic if you don't have any chipboard. You'll be able to substitute.

For pictures, you have some options: if you have circular journaling spots, then you might want some circle dies or punches to use with your photos. If you want to use mostly rectangular journaling spots, then rectangular photos of about the same size would work! We'll be using relatively small photos, so you can include several different images.

Totally up to you what lettering you would like to use! I'll be using letter stickers. I'll be completely honest: I hadn't found the box with the letter stickers when I took this picture! I promise you I have now.

Thanks so much for joining me on this special September adventure of And Now for Something Completely Different!
