How to display cards at a car boot sale?

    Hi guys,

I'm hoping to sell Christmas cards at a car boot coming up to Christmas. As it's outdoors, I can't think how on earth I can display them for sale when the weather is going to be wet and windy!

Does anybody have any ideas please?

    Thanks,

    Bee

Well first off I'd definitely have them all in cellophane bags!

I'd think the best bet might be to have them all in cellophane bags and then standing up in boxes so that people can flick through them. That way they can't blow over/away and you can always lay a tarp or cloth over the boxes when people aren't looking through them.

I have wondered if some of those RUB (Really Usefull Boxes) with the blue click handles would be ok. Clear that you can see quite easily what's in or put labels/tabs onto separate boxes for when customers come along, the cards can stand up and the lids can go on if the weather turns.

One of the times we did a car boot, I popped in a basket of my cards just in case I could get some sale but unfortunately, whilst loads stopped to look and said they were lovely, nobody wanted to pay the price so - from experience - I'm not sure car boot sales are ideal for showing off your lovely handmade cards or trying to get a decent price for them as people going along to them generally want real bargains. Why not try sourcing some craft fairs in your area instead, there's usually loads in the run up to christmas.
