Oh no, you are making me SO jealous!! I would have KILLED to go on that retreat because Teesha Moore is just so fabulous, but the travelling down all that way from the north would have killed me, let alone the weekend itself. Its just so unfair though .....

I registered for 2012....any minute now I'll start it! Having said that there are some cool tutors on the 2013 schedule.

I've just come back from the Call of the Wild retreat it was absolutely amazing. There were four art teachers from the states and 60 women all congregating in Somerset. One of the teachers there was Teesha Moore and even her husband Tracy, another awesome art journaller, accompanied her. Would really recommend a retreat to anyone who's feeling 'stuck' with their art to get the creative juices flowing again. It was an incredible experience.
    Thank you!

I'd loved to have gone on the retreat, but, like Rosie, it's a long way from oop North, and to be honest no matter how I said it to myself I couldn't justify the cost.

Any particular reason it's taken so long Vicki, if you don't mind me asking? Was it something to do with the course itself, or just life in general? xx

ahh, I wish I had some exotic explanation, but sadly, it's just life getting in the way. 2012 has been my worst year for creative output! I didn't know this when I signed up for it and fully intended to pick it up around March/April time.... just hasn't happened yet.

and what you've seen is about all I've managed this year. I feel like I've fallen down a big hole and nobody will chuck me a flash light down... I need to spend more time getting inky! Still at least I've managed to get my collabor-art piece in the post at last. That should help.

    Life book 2013

    Leanie and Vicky,

I was wondering about Lifebook 2013 as well. However I signed up for 21 secrets in 2012 and found the quality of the instruction very variable. So I am not sure what I think of the format of loads of instructors, lots of whom do 21 secrets as well. From what Tam said on her promotional video I dont think I would learn many new techniques, but there is something about doing an on line course that makes me more productive.

It would be really useful to get honest comments from people who had done the 2012 course.
Vicky its a shame that real life takes up so much time! Hope you can find more time next year - your work is lovely.

If I ever get chance to look at it I'll comment on it.

I'm planning a creative day tomorrow. DH will be working from home, so if I can clear some space on my desk I can try and catch up on some stuff I need to get done. Means I can spend some time with him as well, just as long as there's not too much heat gun action going on.

I'm doing Lifebook 2012. I did really well for the first few months but then life got in the way. I think Tam is a fabulous teacher, some of the others are variable, but the whole thing is amazing value for money. It deon't matter if you don't do everything.

Some people don't like the slightly therapeutic type style, but if that's you just ignore it and go with the art.

Dina Wakley is one of the instructors for next year and I love Dina's style and her teaching so that's another plus.

Thanks meggie Dinas section of 21 secrets was great. Your comments are really helpful. I need to make sure I spend time doing my own thing as well as doing courses next year. Are you signing up for next year?
