    ANSFCD 06 :: Get Ready!

Our sixth project of the year... Here's what you will need this month!

1 sheet of 12x12 cardstock for your background, in a colour to match whatever else you pick.

2 patterned papers. These could be partial sheets as long as they are still 12" long - you will need the full page width but not the full page, so a 4x12 or 6x12 piece would be fine. One pattern should be a small polka dot. (If you hate polka dots, you are allowed to pick something similar - a very small repeating pattern.) The second pattern should be in a different colour to the polka dot - and in a pattern that works when cut into small pieces, so don't choose any large patterns. Simple or small works best.

2 lettering options. One big, in the same colour as the polka dot paper. One small, in the same colour as the cardstock and second patterned paper.

A bunch of different options in terms of die-cuts! I won't use every single thing you see here and they don't need to be any specific size, type or pattern. Take that colour you have chosen for the cardstock, second patterned paper and small letter stickers and then look at what die-cuts you have in your stash. I just went through and pulled out a bunch of different things that were pink. Don't overthink it - just pull out what you have. If you don't tend to buy die-cuts like this, that's okay! You can also cut shapes yourself (with an electronic or manual cutter) or use stickers if you prefer. But try to gather a range of different sizes and shapes with a single colour in common.

Either ribbon, washi tape or baker's twine/thread to match your chosen colour. You can have one, two or all three of those options. You just want something in the same colour but a different texture to make the most of the project.

    And then for your PHOTOS!

You need three 4x6 prints, all the same orientation - so three portraits or three landscapes. Easy!

Got it? I'll see you back here on the 20th for the project steps!

How funny - I was just sitting here about to start another LO and I wondered whether this month's &NFSCD had been posted and here it is. Now for the funny part - the LO I was just about to start has three 4x6 landscape shots! I don't need to go looking for photos or anything - just the papers and embellishments which should be easy enough given the description.

I'm ready, and looking forward to Wednesday, though I am working late that day (boo hoo). I enjoyed seeing other people's supplies last month so I decided to share mine again.

Background - Basic Grey Marrakech Green Tea
Polka Dot - Basic Grey Porcelain Silver Birch
Small Pattern - Echo Park This & That Charming Plaid
    Baker's Twine in Brown Sugar
Large Letters - I think they're either American Crafts or Pebbles

I don't have any small green letters, but the title I have in mind would only need one size. I have small brown ones, or I could colour some white/cream ones. Let's wait and see.

I am not one for a lot of die cuts but it's amazing what you can find when you start digging. I have a number of arrows, a camera and a collection of nature items. They're much smaller than Shimelle's but we'll see how we go with them.

    I'm ready

I gathered some supplies together, all except the die cuts. I'll get those ready when I see where they are going. I have prepared two sets of papers but only have photos for one. Last month I had everything ready and when I saw the page I changed my mind completely. I'm all ready for wednesday now.

Thanks Shimelle, the project's not been posted yet but I already feel liberated. I've just sat and gone through one box where I keep some die cuts and chipboard pieces and pulled all the blue pieces! I've got tons so although they won't all make it onto the page I'll get some of them used up as they never make it onto my pages and hopefully the layout will encourage me to use them again on another one!
