Technique Thursday with Cal - 14 June - Fun with Embossing Folders

    Welcome to another Technique Thursday.

Today we're going to concentrate on embossing folders. I know you are all thinking that an embossing folder, is just an embossing folder, but there are lots of other ways to use them.

The following blog is a great source for using embossing folders in different ways, and rather than cut and paste into a document, I'm leaving this link for you. Mary Anne also has some great projects on her blog using embossing folders, so please check them out.

    http://joyfulcreationswithkim.blogsp...e-folders.html

And this You Tube video talks you through how to leave an 'empty' space within an embossed image aka Embossed Folder Resist.

(If you are interested in taking all of these techniques up to the next level, then I run a friendly crop for scrapbookers, and also hold small classes. If interested, please message me. xx)

OK - here is mine for this week.

Inked up a cuttlebug folder using Big'n'Juicy "Spice" - embossed onto white card.
Double mounted, using Gold Mirri and a piece of sage green paper.
Stick onto tan cardstock - add peel-offs and text.

I have been playing with embossing folders and inks again !

    1) Holly folder - inked with Big'n'Juicy Foliage, double mounted on maroon and green pearlised card, Holly leaves outlined with quicky glue and sprinkled with fine crystal glitter.

    2) Bauble Folder - inked with Big'n'juicy Sunset, double mounted on maroon and gold hologram card. Baubles outlined with quicky glue and sprinkled with fine crystal glitter.
