    Studio Lattice templates

So you thought you were getting a month off

This is a Studio only challenge, so no autotracing, converting

The challenge is to use the Advanced Replicating options in Studio to make a Lace/Lattice Overlay template with overlapping shapes that can be used with the Intersect option in Studio to make lattice aperture cards, charms, bunting etc, so it needs to be bigger than a card.

If anyone needs or wants it I've written a tutorial and uploaded it to the Studio tutorial folder, it hasn't been tested so any you don't understand please PM me rather than fill up the thread with chatter, as I will amend the tutorial.

I hope you have as much fun as I've had over the past month, I managed to get 9 designs from 1 shape, by rotating it, welding squares, diamonds, circles etc to it.

To start the ball rolling here are 2 files I've made. 1 was using a Quatrafoil shape and the other a diamond shape.

Could people please make their templates at least A4 size so scrappers can use them

I just had a quick play with the quatrafoil shape and made this.

I've included a photo of what a lattice aperture card would look like using this template, then had a brain wave and Released the compound path, selected, copied and pasted the the outside line into a new document and turned it into a set of nesting shapes.

    sad Played at Last

Its been a long time since I designed anything on my craftrobo - but I decided to play - firstly had to download Studio did not even know it existed - then I printed off Lucille cheat sheets - firstly I made the nesties- then on on to the lattice and finally onto a Framed Lattice - had fun playing thanks for the challenge will have to try and learn all the bits of this new studio now!!

I think I have attached them but its taken me 1hour 30mins to find the library I had saved them in

Sorry I have taken of the nesties and will work out how to put them elsewhere - hopefully I have added some photos.

Thank you for setting this month's challenge Lucille, and for the really helpful tutorial.

The files uploaded so far are all brilliant, so TFS ladies.

My lattices are made from squares, and were great fun to do. I have used them to make some lattice aperture cards, which are in the template section.

    Christmas tree lattice

I know, Christmas already!! I do, however, make Christmas cards all year round, so I thought I would have a play with a very simple Christmas tree shape.

Cuts fine although, as you can see, I didn't centralise the design so the bottom bit got cut off!!

Never mind, you can see the general idea.

    These are very addicitive

    lattice

    Hi

yes Lucille, you were right, had a play with the original one I did and this is what I got, takes ages to cut and has lots of fiddly poke through bits, but didn't take too long with a pricking tool to get the tiny bits out

    Again, didn't centralise design!! Sorry
