If I sign up for anything else I'm simply drown under the stuff I'm not getting done.

I love the Japanese moleskines, just the idea of them makes me go weak at the knees. (maybe I'm a bit odd)

Gilly I hope the news is good for you today, never an easy time waiting on these decisions! Fingers crossed here.

I now have the large Japenese Moleskine on my craft desk thanks to Vicki's super speedy service. I just want to start using it straight away but should I be really good and finish off the 3 journals I have on the go first!!!!?

    Nahhhh, use it straight away!

I have a ton of page idea's whizzing round my head at the moment that I need to get out. Need to sort my desk out first, and get the housework done. We had a huge garage clear out at the weekend, and now I need to handle the spare room where my desk is. I can't put it off any longer!

Vicki, that was what I was hoping someone would say.
I just love the way it stretches out, I so enjoyed doing your tutorial from the blog hop where you created your own version of a concertina book. This one stretches out forever and holds such promise of fun.
I might just have to stroke it for a few days.
I hope you get all those jobs done and then get to a clear space to work on your desk.

Leanie just go for the Japenese Moleskine you will love it ....... If not you could send it to me.

Think it's something where I need to have some sort of idea in mind before I buy one or it will never get used (that may spur me into thinking of something)

Ooh... it's sounding very tempting - especially as it emans all my pages will lie flat to work on!
And sorry Shirley, if I DO indulge, it's staying at home

I'll be treating myself to one just when I know I'll get chance to play in it. I have sneaked a quick page in today. I've started a new journal (no idea why I, just felt the need for a fresh start for some odd reason). A very simple painted page, will take photo's later/tomorrow.

I know everyone loves the Moleskine books, and I must be an exception because I love the A5 spiral bound journals with the gesso cover (they do other sizes too). The spiral thing works less well for double page spreads but then I only do the occasional one - for some reason mine are mainly singles - but it does give you flexibility for some thicker pages and so on. I also like being able to decorate the covers; I always use the same book but the cover of each one is different, I tie all kinds of bits and bobs to the bindings and they look so nice sitting there on the shelf .... I've actually got six more stockpiled because I once found them reduced to half price so I cleared the shelf!

I don't blame you Rosie. I would have cleared the shelf as well.

I've tried working in a spiral book, but I just can't get on with them. I seem to be doing more and more double pages, and the "gap" in the page really bugs me in a spiral journal. Even when I was at college I always favoured book style sketch books over spiral ones. I do have a tiny spiral one I got from paperchase but I use that to keep my jewellery design notes in. It's funny though because my diary and work note book have to be spiral or they drive me mad.
