I'm just getting into this and am already completely HOOKED (my first effort is on my blog here . My inspiration was Kate Crane from The Kathryn Wheel, but I'd love to be in touch with other people exploring this too - am thinking of booking on a workshop in October run by Artist Trading Post. I also understand there's a magazine - is it from Stampington - and would be keen to buy a couple of back issues, just to see if I like it.

Rosie - absolutely loving the new stuff on your blog, as always. All your pages are so polished and perfect, they are a real pleasure to look at, and I really enjoy scrolling down and watching them 'happen' in the step-by-step photos!

Fab tute over on The Journey too Vicki - I'm a bit scared of inks, but I'm giving them some brave consideration now! Love the story about the trainers too!

I find my art and AJ books an endless source of inspiration and I know lots of you love your books too, so I'm going to start a thread about good books for art journalers, so we can all recommend our faves etc.

I feel better for having created something today. Might see if I can squeeze in some more play time this evening.

Thanks for the comment on my blog Sarah. Funny the bird I sat and did last night - without thinking about it - was lovely and friendly looking. Clearly I'm not so good if I think about it. Ahh, and such is life...

I like him a lot, but he does look like he's looking down his nose - well looking down his beak - a bit

Thought I would pop by and share my excitement! I have this awful language student staying with me ... usually they are all lovely ... but this one ...they are annoying and rude and I really don't like them! Obviously I could n't put all that in my journal ... but I think I just about covered all their characteristics in my page ... without saying any of that ... a big step for me ... and soooooooooooo much fun
    I journaling!

Thanks Shirley. I've drawn some more birds this morning on another page...so far I like them more but then again I haven't added colour to them yet... Chores to do for now though.

Nice page Linda - feels so good this journalling lark doesn't it!

More birds from me today, just popped them on my blog if anyone is interested. Seems birds are taking over. I'm doodling them all over the place.
