    Using food in a LO!

I was thinking about the weekly challenge last night and I decided I wanted to use some M&Ms as embellishments! Before I start experimenting anyone with any thoughts? No idea if it will work or not, I was thinking I will need to varnish them with something so they don't fade, perish or damage the card. Any thoughts on what might work, or is this a ridicules idea and I should just get some beads and paint them to look like M&Ms!

Hmmmm ... what if they got hot and melted? Or they could get crushed between your pages? I'd worry about using them and make something instead, but maybe I'm just being paranoid!!!!

The oil in them will leech out over time into your LO.
Eat them and paint some beads!

how about finding some round brads? that may be better,
or could you print out some m&m's and then cut round them?
or buy a packet and cut out the ones on the packet?

Are you showing your age Leanie? we used to do that with crisp packets when we were kids and make badges from them, they were fab. I don't think it would work with the foil packets that they are in now

Haha - I remember those stickers! Think they would be a better idea than the actual sweets. Gwen xxx

    I'm a sprightly 31 - is this something I missed out on?
And I prefered M&Ms in the papery packets, not the plasticy stuff

No. Def eat the M&Ms and find an alternative to stick on your LO!!

I'm reminded of my art exam entry (ust an end of term thing, not a 'proper' graded exam like an GCSE!) many years ago. I made it at home using different sorts of spaghetti and macaroni stuck on a big piece of card. By the time I'd got to school, most of the pices had fallen off ....

Not surprisingly, I got a pretty low grade!

    Hi
I found exactly what you need on Ebay. I don't know if you may already of have found it but they are called:
Colorful Resin Letter M Bead Flatback Cabochon ScrapbookIng

I read this post when I first joined which was not long ago and came across them on eBay lately and thought of this post. It's perfect for you!
