PLEASE help! What are the little hedgehog like things used for display called?

This has been bothering me for some time, why I didn't think of posting before is beyond me!

When I read US mags, a lot of designers photograph their work on little metal spikey stands... like a flattened hedgehog!

I would rather like one of these, but I don't know what they are.

Does anyone know? Surely some of the Americans on here can help?

I just hope now that they are not indeed called hedgehogs, otherwise I will feel a bit stupid!!

flower frogs .... before oasis this is how flower arrangers kept flower stems in position .... totally sends me back to my childhood, wonder if my mum still has hers.

Have to say that hedgehogs does more accurately describe them than frogs!

I've been wondering that too, I just searched on the auction site for 'flower frog' and the ones that were listed all seemed to have holes in them, rather than the spikes which I think is what you are after?

    Perhaps someone else can help?

I have also seen them described as 'flower frogs'. But I did find these ones called 'metal pin holders' here...

I knew exactly what you meant by hedgehogs...and now it all makes sense - never realised they were for flowers
