I'm definitely not the person to answer that one, I tend to overwork my pages and realise too late that I should have stopped about 4 steps before I actually did

    LOVE that Shakespeare tape!

Your binder looks great, as do all the pages that have been shared so far.

My second attempt! I've used water colour paper and stuck it in my book. I've used watercolour paints and blown them with a straw. Its totally different from anything I've done in years.

Thanks for looking and I really love looking at everyone elses pages. It really gets you thinking - and thats something I've not done in years lol!

Sorry can someone tell me how I put a picture on here?

    Thanks you xxx

    Maybe this will work!

    Hi Clairebears
I've had trouble putting mine in the gallery here tonight but have managed it now - Have had to reduce the size right down (to vertually nothing!) so you may need to resize significantly - Off to flickr to have a ganders

Just another question from me... When you do your backgrounds do you do more than on at a time? Do you use your pages in order???

Clairebears love your page! The way you inserted the link works fine but if you still want to know how to upload to UKS I posted about it for someone else just last night so I've copied and pasted the info for you here:

First of all you need to re-size your pics before you can upload, check this thread and scroll down to #6 where JimJams not only provides the link for Pix Resizer, she gives a lovely quick tutorial on how to use it.

Once you've done that, you have a few options:
    1. Go to your 'User CP' find 'Pictures and Albums' (on the left hand side) and upload your resized pics to your personal gallery then copy the URL link into your post.
    Or
    2. Go to the Gallery at the top, click on 'upload photos' to upload there (should be easy to follow but if not give me a PM and I'll try to help )
    Or
    3. Under the message box you type your responses in you'll see a button 'Go Advanced', click on that and scroll down until you see the button for 'manage attachments' then it should be self explanatory how to browse for the pics you want (if not, I'm happy to help) - this is the option that allows you to attach a thumbnail so we can see your pic but won't be able to leave a comment.

I hope that makes sense and helps?

I have done the intro page straight onto the watercolour paper but do I gesso the back of the page?? also How do the distress inks react with the gesso? I was thinking of pressing the pads onto my tile and spritzing with water... then running my page through (love doing this for vintage style tags)....
I like the gesso on the page because after you have painted it you can push top bottles on to it, run a comb over or just your fingers. After it is painted you have wonderful textures.

If you have Picasa ( a free photo editing suite from Google) just press export and it gives you the opportunity to resize. I resize mine to 480 pixels which is an easily downloadable size but still gives a good size picture on the thread.

Picasa if you haven't used it is a great way to display all your pictures in one place. It searches for all your pictures and displays them in one place, you can then refile them in and order you like, mine are usually in date order but it probably isn't the best way. The editing programmes allow you to change colour saturation, add a fuzz ( I don't think that is a technical term!) crop and allsorts, great for creating pictures for art journalling. One of my favourite features is face recognition, I am of an age now where I can't always remember peoples names so Picasa sorts them all out into people. Great if you are looking for a photo of a particular photo. Initaily this takes quite a long time and energy but once it is set up it is great. AND it is free!!
