Would anybody on here be interested in a brand new book called "Zentangle Basics" about the lovely art of black and white doodling? Thought I would offer it here before putting it in the Marketplace. I'd put it on my Amazon wishlist and was given it for my birthday, but as it turns out its a bit too basic for me ... It's a slim softback beautifully illustrated and would really be a great jumping off point for anyone interested in having a go. 5.00 to include postage

I'm really loving my collage journal at the moment-it works so much better for me that an 'art' journal-ie one that uses a lot of wet media. I find I add to my journal page at a time at the end of making a scrapbook page, and come back and add other bits whenever I get a spare moment.

Rosie - I bought the Zentangle book at SECC. It is basic and a good starting place - can't wait to start. I tried some with Barbara Grey on C&C on Sunday but it was a real mess!

Pam - love your journal. That's something to remember for the future.

Book now sold thank you and will be in the post today - I knew someone on here would enjoy it! Am loving the fact that my journalling mojo has returned - it felt so strange not to touch it for weeks when I'd been working in it every day before that .... and since my passion for Promarkers my still has taken a new direction too. Sploshing paint and stuff around has never quite been me, and I can be neat AND arty now!!

Well done Pam for finding your own style - nobody should ever feel that they have to do it a certain way (see above), although looking at other people's work is a great way to start, and is what I did myself. These days the pages I produce feel like they're genuinely me, although I can still surprise myself sometimes and I do work at trying out new techniques from time to time ....

Hi folks. Long time no see. Been through a major phase of Christmas card-making so I haven't been doing any journalling lately, but I'm hoping to get back to it in the next couple of weeks.

In the meantime, it's 3.30am right now and I can't sleep, so I'll go and have a catch-up on all your blogs!

You're making me feel lazy Claudia - after at least a decade of making my own I went to Oxfam and bought theirs this year!

I'm back in journal mode after a slightly lean period, and it does feel good to be back! The conversations with myself that journalling involves have become a very necessary part of my life! An opportunity to reflect ... even (or perhaps particularly) at this increasingly busy time of year?

I created 3 designs for Xmas cards and have had them printed. Less work than making them all individually but still personal
