    ink jet printable ribbon

I am probably teaching granny to suck eggs but………………..
With all this talk of ink printable ribbon (which seems very expensive when bought from on the TV shopping channel,) I though I would have a go at a cheaper alternative and it worked. I had a piece of material I cut from a roller blind (you know the quite stiff fabric ones) I cut a strip from it, double sided sticky tape it to a piece of thin card/thick paper, sent it through the printer ………….. perfect result.
And the best bit is that many of the handyman stores sell fabric blinds really cheap.
Now all I need is new ink for my printer.

good for you bad news i chucked some old stained bits of those vertical blind slats away as they were stained but they would have been great for this.
