Lightbulb Make your own roller ball glue applicator.

Having been messing around in the bathroom removing all the waste my children leave behind I found a roller ball deodrant and wondered if this would work.

I used a screw to remove the ball, as I didn't want to stretch the sides. once it was screwed into the ball I held the screw with a towel and popped it out.

I removed the screw and used some sandpaper to make the ball smooth once more.

After washing everything well, I added PVA Glue inside and popped the ball back.

Yep it works, it gives a very think coat of glue right upto the edge and all over the cardstock. It's great for the kids and the lid screws back on so safe to transport. If you want more glue place some foam under the item to be glued as this seems to make it come out slightly faster.

Ooo...thank you for sharing that clever idea Sharron. I have 2 roller deodorants - One I don't like as it takes 2 hours to dry under my arms! The second, I am running out of, so I shall give it a go.

I do what I love and I love what I do.

oooh I've seen a similar trick for applying paints - good to know it works with glue to. Should be a good way of keeping things less messy with the kids........

    Roller balls

One of the deodorant companies years ago used to also do a refill. It came with a small spoon shaped implement to insert between the ball and the rim of the original bottle, remove the ball then fill with paint or whatever and replace the ball. Haven't tried lately with a small spoon, but might be worth a try.
