OMG vicki I love those birds on your bloggy - are they a stamp? or did you paint them yourself - either way, lovely, well done.

I'm still on the Art journalling peeps, but not in your league so just do a bit here and there.

Thank you Gilly! The outline was traced on to the canvas and then I drew over them and painted them in. Good fun doing it. Plan to do some more....when I get round to it! Got some other projects to get done first though - as is always the way.

No apologies are necessary - as long as nobody is rude, we can disagree with each other without it being an issue. In fact its bound to happen ... what with us all being such a creative, feisty lot??

Hello all . I am around still, just fighting horrible health problems at the mo . I would be interested in the AJ circle journal if it goes ahead. I am currently doing one and really enjoying it so another one would really get me going!

I have seen bits of Kate Cranes DVD's as a friend has them.. I liked what I saw of them and am tempted to get them at some point.

I know what you mean, but nope, don't remember anyone mentioning it in this thread. I could be wrong though - it does happen...sometimes

I watched the first 20 mins of those dvds last night - i thought the colour wheel and the tone mixing with white was so obvious in that 'why didnt I think of it kind of way' that as soon as I can I am going to try that. I made so much plasticine brown at Dinas classes the other weekend

As someone who often pops in here (lurking as not brave enough to join in yet !!) I love to see everyone's work. I need all the help I can get when it comes to art journalling. I bought a great book about 6 months ago, gessoed the pages ready .... and that's it I have had the Kate Crane DVDs on my wish list for a long time now but something else always comes up and they get pushed back down my list If a chance to win them came up - I would very much appreciate someone giving me a link. I would have entered to try and win these ... only for the fact it was on FB .. yes - FB is here to stay (more's the pity) but I am with Ali in the 'Hate FB' brigade I do have very valid reasons for this which I don't need to go into on here ... anyway - digressing from the point ... I would be very happy to have things pointed out that were relevant to the thread/topic and especially helpful to complete and utter novices like me who are in awe of those to whom art journaling comes as naturally as breathing.

I shall now go back to lurking under my rock
