Quickutz compatibility with Grand Calibur

Is it possible to use Quickutz embossing plates with the GC?

Hi,
I don't have the Calibur but I watched a programme on TV and they said you could use any of the embossing folders with it. They said to use "cardboard shims" rather than the embossing plates because they would be too thick.
