I'm just getting into this and am already completely HOOKED (my first effort is on my blog here . My inspiration was Kate Crane from The Kathryn Wheel, but I'd love to be in touch with other people exploring this too - am thinking of booking on a workshop in October run by Artist Trading Post. I also understand there's a magazine - is it from Stampington - and would be keen to buy a couple of back issues, just to see if I like it.

And most of all - tell me MORE, ie where to find inspiration, techniques, etc etc. Please share your bookmarks! Did I mention that I'm already addicted??

Have left you a comment on your blog Tracy. Well done for starting!! Brilliant.

I still have photo's to take of my latest mini pages. I had a few hours to myself yesterday while DH took the kids out but ended up making shrink plastic birdcages and playing with alcohol inks. Ran out of time to work in my journal.

Bernice - I'm the same as you. I take my journal and then do very little in it. We're off to the states for our summer hols with the kids so I'll just be taking my ready prepared calendar journal to fill in. I know I won't do anything other than that.

Rosie - look forward to seeing your configurations thingy. Have to admit I'd like to have a go at one myself but I'm slowly doing a 7gypsies frame at the moment...amongst other things. One day one of them will be finished.

Oh and I live 20 mins outside York city centre! You should have come for a cuppa and a play.

Rosie, if you want a big space in the configurations box you have to remove a couple of the smaller boxes. I removed a couple from my 2nd box and we were told to remove 3 at the TH workshop. The lady next to me didn't want hers and gave them to me. I now have enough small boxes to make a whole shadow box. Just need to work out how to make a frame to go round them all!

Welcome aboard the art journal train Tianne as I have said on your blog, now you've started, there will be no stopping you

And Julie's "Art Journal Every Day" initiative is a fantastic energiser. I've only missed one day so far since Jan 1st (and that was the day we got home from Paris and I was sooooo exhausted, I did work on it every night while we were actually there, though, my Paris pages are here: http://are-you-flowin.blogspot.com/2...k-we-went.html)

Some nights, like last night, I'm too tired to do anything creative so I just spend 20 mins or so gessoing future pages or just laying down some basic backgrounds, other days I can be inspired enough to finish a page in one sitting.

But knowing that I only have to do 10 minutes is great for getting me started on a day when I've been at work for long hours and the kids have wound me up, and it's a struggle to motivate myself - then once I've done those 10 mins I've usually got on a roll and I end up carrying on

It's lovely seeing everyones pages and ideas. I am loving the journalling and playing. I treated myself to a little configurations box and hope to have time for that soon. Tracy loved your first page and left comment on blog. Biskit was trying to comment on your blog when phone crashed. Am going to download the birds tomorrow as they look fab.

eek - I need to finish my march pages, I have the first few days as I'm doing a weekly journal, so just need to finish off the last couple of weeks. Gives me something to do tonight when the kids have gone to bed.
