I give up! think I might just order some from jacksons, or hunt round more online. Looks like I'll have to do over 120 mile round trip for a proper art store! Madness. Or wait until I'm down in Brum in April.

Katie, do you mean the Stampotique stamps? If so, I know of two sponsors that sell them: Pickleberry Papercrafts (my local) and Art From the Heart. If you mean the collage images, just google for 'digital collage images'.

    Hope that helps.

I was drooling over that video last night, what a great technique! Going to give it a go this evening if I get 5 minutes, with my old Ranger colourwashes as I don't have any of Dyan's Dylusion sprays....hopefully it will still work in a similar way.....

*edited to add, yay it worked a treat! blurry pic attached*

that's the first time I've used my Ranger sprays in years, they were right at the back of my cupboard, funny how you just kind of forget you have stuff.

Aren't they bringing some new colours out as well, or is it new bottle, can't remember. I've always been put off buying as (a) didn't know what to do with them and (b) the size of the bottle.

No idea – I’m not very up to date on the latest supplies, I must admit, I’ve got enough stuff to last me a lifetime of making stuff, so I try not to buy much new if I can avoid it (says she who spent £26 on journaling pens last week!!).

I was lucky enough to get a full set (12 colours in those days) of the Ranger colourwashes for nada from work (I used to work at WHSmith and they were unused stock samples that the buyer let me keep, along with all the distress ink pads, lucky me!) – this must be about 5 years ago now. Trouble was in those days I had no idea what to use them for other than dyeing fabric – and so I gave half of them away to the girls at my crop – sob. I wish I had those colours back now!

Well it seems that ex boyfriends do come in useful occasionally! Mine just popped round with a load of paints and brushes for me from a sample clearout at work (he still works for Smiths), result

There's loads of acrylics and watercolours, which I know how to use, and some oil pastels, ditto.

But there are also gouache paints and oil paints, neither of which I have used before.

Any tips peeps? I know oil paints take forever to dry, but what is the upside? (assuming there is one lol). And gouache paints I know nothing at all about. They are in tubes that look like watercolour paint tubes - do I mix them with water like watercolours?

Any advice gladly taken! I'm a total ignoramus when it comes to "proper" art materials.
