Here are 3 of my pages, they dont look exciting but they are fine for me, just to give you ideas of what a home-made album would be like. I just made 4x6inch files in photoshop and dropped my digital papers/photos into them and had them all printed out as a large order and made up the book up to week 52, then printed my own photos each week at boots.

I emailed Becky Higgins customer support and this is the response i got:

    Hi Melanie,

We feel your pain! We wish there was another way we could get it to the UK for less, but the shipping is super expensive and completely out of our hands. Becky has made arrangements with the following international distributers. You might want to check with them to see if you can get the shipping for less if you order it from them.

    New Zealand & Australia: http://www.crafthouse.co.nz/store/co...dCategory=1412

    Finland: http://blackpitta.fi/projectlife.html

Canada & all other countries: http://scrapbookersinnercircle.com/c...=0&sort=normal

The digital version of Project Life is also available, with the 2 new designs being launched in time for 2011. It's completely free to create your Project Life book online and when you're ready to purchase, we'll print, bind, and ship it to you. It's just another option. http://www.beckyhiggins.com/products...oject-life.php

Thanks for your comments, I will pass them on to Becky.

    Have a great day!
So no joy there!! Looks like we're going to have to go it alone so any ideas for page protectors and journalling cards then ladies??

Melanie thanks for sharing that, I haven't had a response as yet.

It is a great pity because making my own is just not the same and there is no way I would complete an album that way. It is the printed bits that I liked the best.

I mentioned some ideas in post 19. Yes you would have to adapt some of it but it would work and it would also need a little pre planning as to how much stash to buy.
Some journalling cards that could be used:
    http://www.craft-emporium.co.uk/index.php?cPath=688_459

Prima do journalling note cards in a box
    http://www.primamarketinginc.com/ind...egory.html?p=2

    Elle's studio is another one
    http://www.craft-emporium.co.uk/index.php?cPath=688_760
    Little Yellow Bicycle
    http://www.craft-emporium.co.uk/index.php?cPath=688_752
    October Afternoon
    http://www.craft-emporium.co.uk/index.php?cPath=688_689

    The list is endless really.
In addition to this you would need a few pages of patterned paper to match the journalling cards you would use.

For the page protectors, the American Craft ones would be ideal :

You're welcome. I fancy doing one with the october afternoon one as they seem to have the most choice. I think I'd better start the real one from last year first though

If anyone is still looking for journalling cards there's a few freebie options on a blog I found here. (Hope it's ok to post a blog link?)

My response was virtually the same as yours Mel:
    Hi Louise,

We hear your pain! We wish there was something we could do, but the postage and duty fees are completely out of our hands!

I will pass on your suggestion to Becky about Amazon.co.uk and see if there is something more we can do to make it more affordable. I know Becky has made arrangements with the following distributors to ship internationally.

    New Zealand & Australia: http://www.crafthouse.co.nz/store/co...dCategory=1412

    Finland: http://blackpitta.fi/projectlife.html

Whilst I could make my own, I liked the idea of it all being ready prepared plus cost wise (shipping excluded!) it was a great price. Obviously by the time you buy an album, page protectors, journalling cards etc over here it all adds up. I think I'll have a look at what I've got already first although I'm also doing OLW so I'm trying to be careful with what I take on.
