    Thanks for all the links.
I can't draw but enjoy making the pages and decorating with my stamps and thoughts.

When I went to New York a couple of years ago I found a fabulous Rubber Stamp shop the Ink Pad in Greenwich Village,22 Eighth Avenue. It was like an Aladins Cave, well worth a visit.

I'm fast becoming an AJ addict, I just can't seem to put them away & work on other things.

I laughed like mad when I read this! So true in my case also - but isn't it exciting to discover the ONE thing you really REALLY want to do? I've got lots of acrylic paints, so are these Dylusions ones really better? Thinking of asking for some of the sprays for Christmas, but not quite convinced, so if I really need them please tell me!!

How about this then ladies, I wear shoes and stay in bed!

Thanks for the tip on the stamp shop Beadmad, I'll add that to my note book of places to seek out (and bankrupt DH...)

The Dylusions paints are like a matte version of Claudine Hellmuths studio paints so they layer up really nicely. They are in the little wide pots so you can use them if you paint with baby wipes or like to splodge. They are nice to write on.

Ink sprays...ooh, I have the lot and love them. I like the fact that they are not enormous bottles. I went for graphite at first as it goes with anything and brings stuff together nicely. I think for the price they are worth getting one or two to play with then you can decide if you need them.

This page was done using dylusions inks and paint for the background. I used the mica spray so it has a nice shimmer.

On the subject of paints, has anyone tried the eco acrylics? I ordered tube in pumpkin, it's such creamy paint, but I have written on it yet. Just wondered what anyone else though of them.

I love the dylusions, I haven't tried the mica ones yet, I've got a few Glimmer Mists & lots of Cosmic Shimmer Mists, I find the Mica in those sometimes doesn't hold ink as well as non mica sprays if your journaling or doodling over the top, & the dylusions colours are really vibrant (some a bit too vibrant for me but I tone them down with darker colours)
The Vanilla Custard colour is a very gentle yellow & the worn leather is a lovely soft tan colour, the granite goes with everything.
I did buy both of the full sets but can already see which colours I use the most.

Also I signed up to Willowing last night, are any of you ladies on there? (Vicki I know you are) Basically I'm shamelessly looking for friends on there

LOL, are you stalking me Claire?!

I haven't done this weeks yet. I need to hunt out some fabric. I've got a bag of wadding though that I rescued from a play mat before we chucked it out. Think I might need a trip to the charity shops for a nice frock or something. I carried on playing after week two and my book only has 4 pages, which now house mr & Mrs but I'm going to use it for my celebration page. I even picked up a bigger book from Oxfam when I went to get my Christmas cards, I've loved altering it.

Maybe a little The lovely whimsies I'd seen on your blog gave you away,

My mum has asked to me compile a list of things I might like for Christmas, I make a list & she picks a few things from it, that way she gets me something I would really like & I still get a surprise (I'm a big kid) The whole family does it as we'd rather buy things that are really wanted than stuff that gets put away & never used. So what do you ladies recommend, I'm thinking paints as I only have a few paint dabbers or maybe some crayons or pastels? Any suggestions, recommendations or pitfalls welcome
    Thanks in advance

Highly recommend the Caran d'ache watersoluble crayons - they're fantastic! Don't waste time trying out the smaller box, get a BIG one for Christmas!!

I bought the Caran D'Ache crayons and the Inktense pencils for the Willowing course but have only got as far as priming my first pages....been very lax lately on the craft front - just don't know what is the matter with me!!!!...they are both lovely bright intense colours and would recommend them...and I got them on that bidding place very cheap!!!...xxx

    Welcome Kate!

Claire - caran d'ache crayon...and yeah go straight for a big set. I have the set of 15 and some skin colours now, but I want the lot so have asked for a big set as part of my Christmas list. I keep mentioning them so fingers crossed the HINT will hit home. I'm also a fan of the Inktense pencils. I'd also suggest big buckets of gel medium to go on the list, but maybe that's just me...

Thanks for the suggestions, I've been looking at the neo colours (& drooling).
I'll also put buckets of gel medium onto the list too.
I've been having a ferret around in mums attic aka my old bedroom, as I know I had a big tin of Caran D'ache watercolour pencils from when I did art & fashion & textile design at college (way back when), but I can't find them anywhere, so I'm a bit miffed about that, but I did find 2 sets of watercolour paints, some old charcoals & some of the Inscribe pastels & was wondering if they'd be suitable until Santa comes.
Also is there anything better to "set" pastels? I always used hairspray but found it was never brilliant

Just wondered if any of you had bought the pan pastels that Donna Downey uses? They seem expensive but they look lovely.
