    Embossing Machines

    HI Everyone

I am not sure if I am just confused or not but ..... can you purchase a machine that just emobosses?

I have my craftrobo which I use for cutting etc and I can't wait to be allowed access to the craftrobo sections/tutorials. But I really like the embossed effect, esp when you can sand the card for the distressed look - which I adore.

Any hints on the best type of machine - if there is such a thing?

    Embossing Machine

Sizzix make an embossing machine http://www.countryviewcrafts.co.uk/t...225-2556-p.asp which measures 8" x 5" x 9", plus 2 1/2" handle. So it takes most embossing folders. I hope this helps.

But please be aware the texture boutique does not take all the embossing plates. Won't take the big sizzix black double sided plates, or the fiskars embossing plates.

Its a cuttlebug for me. I don't use it to cut, as I have a Robo too, I only use my cuttlebug to emboss.

btw - you can get access to the Robo chat and the tutorials, its onlly the templates that you have to wait 30 days for.

Brilliant , thanks ladies. I will now have to toddle off and see what I can afford ... Hmm maybe I will have to make not so subtle hints for my b'day this year

marion82 I would never have thought of using a pasta machine - I think I have one of those in the back of a cupboard somewhere

I know this is an old thread now but wow! It would never have occurred to me to use a pasta machine for embossing! I see these dirt cheap at car boot sales all the time! I'd still have to buy the plates but it's a brilliant idea all the same. Thanks!
