    Book fasteners.. you already have...

Just seen a great idea for something lots of people are buying yet we have the items in our stash...

You know the book closers.. hitch posts with the elastic to close a book..

You take a brad add an eyelet upside down then add to your book and just open the brad legs.

Will add a photo as soon as I can find my eyelets.

because the eyelet is upside down the bit you normally squash in the back sits just under the brad and raises it up of the page allowing you to then wrap an elastic hairband or some string that is fixed to the otherside around the book to keep it closed.

A picture of a Tim Holtz original.

OK so here it is in pictures..lol

I used a kids hairband with the metal closing. You can see where I punched a hole for the hairband and oked it through, you need to tape this down before you cover it.

The next shows the brad with the eyelet on to form an hitch as Tim holts calls them, just secure the brad at the back.

You then just wrapped the hairband over the hitch to form a closing for a book.

Hey I posted it for all to use as it's such a good idea when the real ones are more expensive and you should see just how much the real ones cost.

I also thought just how many eyelets and brads I have that match and that I could use them for this.

I was in a swap and Ambermouse made some for me as part of my swap, it's funny I thought she had bought some till I read she had made them as I had said. Just goes to show how good you can make then with matching brads and eyelets.
