I love the feel of the background paper on the ATC,the bit with the embossing on it.What paper is it?It feels really thick and soft even though it's thin!

It's stamping up card in whisper white, I glimmer misted a whole A4 sheet of it in green and brown and then cut it up, the mist does soften it and make it feel thicker. Oh and there is also another piece of SU card stuck to the back to cover up the mist which mysteriously makes its way onto the back as well as the front, don't ask me how.......

Sharon, received your ATC today. Now feel totally inadequate on the ATC front. Your one was....wow! Was the birds made out of shrink plastic? I have some ATCs half made but now I am thinking they are not good enough. Btw thanks for the little cutwe card....where did you get that stamp?

Yes, birds are die cut from shrink plastic (sparrow die), and once shrunk I kind of moulded the wings out a little. The stamp is from Lilac Avenue by Kaisercrafts from Merly Impressions - sponsor that I can highly recommend - fast (as in next day), and all comes wrapped in pink tissue paper. Glad you liked them

it will curl - I let it dry and flatten it under something heavy overnight before cutting into ATCs. ooh - I just noticed you said "paper"..... mine is cardstock, or do they only do one weight and different people call it different things?

Not at all! Everyone starts somewhere and everyone that swaps understands. That is why ATCs are such a wonderful idea. You give freely and you get freely and learn from other people whilst creating a collection of inspiration and techniques for the future.

Just keep jumping in and see what develops!
