Morhers Day card with 3D roses

Looks like I'm the first to post in our "rolled over" thread!

I've just uploaded a photo of this year's Mothers Day card for my MIL. All designed in Robo Master and cut on my little Robo. The 3D roses are a variation on the one that we're seeing a lot at the moment and I made them some real leaves by tracing a photo. I also made a plain matching box which the little machine was reasonably happy with - I'm still trying to sort out re-installing my Pro, which I normally use for cutting heavier weight stuff.

    Galleon card

Just finished this for my grandson's birthday next month. I have adapted FrancesA's lovely galleon template to fit into an aperture - thank you Frances!

The galleon is cut in that velvet adhesive backed stuff that you get on a roll. The palm trees and anchors have been traced and cut in the same stuff. I've put a piece of acetate behind the galleon and then coloured a bit of parchment paper for the sea and the sky. It's all tidied up on the inside with a piece of white card so nothing shows through. I think he'll like the seafaring theme!

You can see it in my gallery

It's lovely Sylvia - I've used velvet paper quite a bit, but I've only ever had A4 sheets of it.

    Hi Rosemary

I have used the A4 sheets and the next item that I have mentioned has a smoother pile and is thinner.
There is an Adhesive Velvet Paper Roll by Papermania that works very well on the Robo, I managed to get a few rolls when an online craft shop closed down recently. Just did a quick google search and on the Q channel item 589034 is a very good deal except you will have to wait for a restock.

I have posted a picture of a card I made for Mum-she wanted it framed, so I used Silene's gorgeaous lacey border-thank you Silene-it fitted the bill perfectly and cut beautifully
